How To Write a Blog: Essential Blogging Tips for Beginning Blog Writers

Hi, my Fellow Blog Explorers! Are you ready for some blogging tips to learn how to write a blog?

Here’s a riddle for you: How do you write a blog while juggling flamingos, singing in whale language, and decoding a secret message written in pizza sauce? 😂🍕🦩

Alright, let’s forget about the flamingos, and we can give the whale language a pass too. Also, you know, pizza sauce might make a bit of a mess, so it’s probably smarter to keep that away from the blank page you’re looking at.  😋📄

Finding out how to write a blog can feel like cracking the code to a treasure map with a ticklish feather pen. Fear not! 😱

Today, we embark on a quest into the mystical land of Blog-o-Magic, where giggles are the currency, and writing a blog is a wondrous, laughter-filled journey. 🚀🌍

However, before we set sail (or should I say lift off) on this enchanting adventure filled with blogging tips, let me share the tale of how my kingdom came to be. 😎🏰

Once upon a time, I started this blog as a humble squire to my Etsy shop, adorned with handmade jewelry fit for royalty. However, because of personal reasons, I had to close my Etsy shop’s gates. 😔🏞️🚧

Heartfelt and determined, I couldn’t let go of my blog, the loyal scribe to my creative escapades. Ah, that’s me. I’m a tender-hearted cookie.  🍪💘

In the early days, my blog was a haven for shining a spotlight on other Etsy shops, a way to share the magic of handmade wonders with the world. 👐✨

As time passed, my blog took on different shapes and colors. I started by shining a spotlight on other talented creators, then moved into sharing my thoughts through reviews that leaped off the screen. 💭💡

Later, I delved into insightful interviews where shared stories echoed with laughter. The Blog-o-Magic transformed into more than just a kingdom; it became a lively celebration of creativity, resilience, and shared experiences. 😍🎨🎉

So, with our quill in hand, let’s unravel the secrets on how to write a blog. If you are ready to turn the pages of this new adventure? 📖🌟

If you’re feeling like you need a break first, why not stop for a moment, sip on some yummy hot cocoa, and then zoom back here to keep reading? 😁☕🍫

Section 1: Figuring Out Why You're Blogging

Dear fellow adventurers, let's dive into the heart of our blogging journey. The first step is understanding why we embark on this adventure. Imagine it as uncovering the map to a fantastic and unique party.

For example, if your blog is about DIY crafts, discuss how it's a platform to share creative ideas, connect with fellow craft enthusiasts, and inspire others to unleash their creativity. Your purpose is like the theme of the party—it sets the tone for everything that follows.

*Example:*

My craft blog began with a simple purpose: to share my love for creativity and connect with fellow crafters or customers. One post, where I detailed the step-by-step process of making beadwork jewelry, became a virtual crafting party.

Section 2: Building Strong Blogs

Strap in for an insightful exploration into the core elements of our blogs. Envision your blog as a colossal ice cream cone, with each aspect contributing to its deliciousness. For instance, consider how selecting a catchy headline is akin to choosing the most exciting ice cream flavor.

An introduction, like a jumping jellybean, should captivate readers right from the start. Picture your blog as a delightful scoop of creativity, with each element enhancing the overall flavor.

Section 3: The Artistry of Words

To dig deeper into how to write a blog, let's turn our attention to the magic of words—the superheroes of our blogs! They have the power to dance, sing, and perform incredible tricks.

Consider your words as brushstrokes crafting a vibrant canvas, shaping an immersive and unforgettable reading journey. Maybe you could describe a DIY project with such enthusiasm that readers could practically see the colors and feel the textures through your words.

*Example:*

If you were to make a post about "Crafting a Cozy DIY Blanket," the words become the artists painting a warm, comforting picture. Describing the softness of the yarn as a gentle dance and the vibrant colors as a lively song brings the project to life. Let your readers feel like they were part of a crafting orchestra, creating their own symphony of coziness.

Section 4: Navigating the Bloggy Jungle Adventure

Imagine our blogs as treasure maps, leading our readers through the jungle of words. Think about how you could structure a blog post, guiding readers smoothly from one point to another.

Reflect on the significance of concise headings and envision them as guideposts in a dense jungle.

*Example:*

In this blog post: Each heading acts as a signpost, guiding you through the dense jungle of blogging tips. You leave the jungle feeling empowered, equipped with a map for your own blogging expedition.

Section 5: The Charm of Talking and illustrating with Pictures

Now, let's focus on the visual appeal of our blogs. Pictures are like the stickers on our treasure maps, and we want them to speak!

Well-selected images complement the content, creating a visually engaging experience for readers. Make use of high-quality images that tell a story on their own.

Section 6: Building Connections with Your Readers

Our readers are the coolest pals at our party, and we aspire to be the best hosts ever! Share a personal experience to engage with your readers through comments or social media.

Answering questions and fostering a sense of community can turn your blog into a lively and welcoming space.

*Example:*

Maybe you can make a Q&A post where readers share their thoughts, creating a virtual gathering where everyone feels heard and valued. Responding to each comment builds a sense of community, and also transforms your blog into a cozy, conversational space.

Conclusion: Crafting Your Bloggy Masterpiece

As we conclude our blogging tips, remember this: your blog is a masterpiece. Reflect on a specific blog post where you feel the perfect blend of creativity and fun, turning it into a memorable treasure. Think about a post that not only achieves its purpose but also leaves a lasting impression on both you and your readers.

7 Great Marketing Tools to Promote your Blog - Blogging Tips

Hi There..... Are you a blogger? Could you do with some blogging tips on where to find great marketing tools?

Ah..... Great to meet you..... Have you been blogging for long?

I have been at it now for 3 years and I have learned so much..... And I thought why not share some of my knowledge to make it easier for you..... Deep down I really have a good heart you know..... And that is not deep down under the ground 😋

But maybe like me in the beginning you are struggling to get your blog read..... I still am working on improving every day, so I thought why not share some blogging tips on how to find a few marketing tools? 😎

Some people think..... Yes, I got the answer..... I will just start blogging and people will read my blog just like that..... Noooo..... You wish..... You have to work hard to get your blog out there 😃

So if that's what you were hoping..... You had better quit right now..... But if you are willing to work for it..... Here are the blogging tips I would like to share with you. 😊

Image made with https://www.canva.com/

1. Number 1 to start with is maybe getting email followers.

Make sure that your blog page has the option for people to join your email list. There are a lot of programs too to help you with that..... Like for instance Mailchimp..... You can find a lot more of these tools just by typing in..... Email Marketing Tools for Bloggers

2. Number 2 is making use of platforms.

Like for instance https://www.bloglovin.com/ ..... Another one is https://medium.com/.... And there are probably a lot more of those out there where you can share your blog..... You can promote some of them or all of them..... Like I do at the bottom of each blog post..... They will get you extra followers and this way potential readers..... Not every follower is Perse a reader too.

Image made with https://www.canva.com/

3. Number 3 is making use of your Social Media like Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook.....

Those are the most popular ones but there are a lot more of them. Make sure that once you publish a blog post you always share it at least once..... But you don't have to restrain yourself..... You can do more if you like..... I, for instance, promote 3 or more blog posts on Twitter daily.

4. Number 4 on my list is Facebook groups.

There are a lot of groups where you can promote your blog without having to do anything in return like https://www.facebook.com/groups/137850849757848/ ..... Try searching on Facebook starting with Blogger and choose the option groups to get all kinds of groups..... All you have to do now is join.

Image made with https://www.canva.com/

5. Number 5 for me is Tailwindapp

(if you use this link we will both get a free $15 Tailwind credit when you upgrade to Plus) ..... And I especially love the tribes..... If you use the free option you can join up to 5 tribes and you get 30 submissions every month..... Haven't you always wanted to be in a tribe..... Well, this is your chance..... You can share your blog with the tribes but you will have to pin others in return.

6. Number 6 is important too..... Sharing on Pinterest group boards.

I started one of my own some time ago https://nl.pinterest.com/seadbeady/bloggers-sharing-blogposts/ ..... You are free to join it if you like..... At the moment there are almost 200 people pinning to the board and there are new ones asking to join every week.

7. Number 7 is something that I heard from others but I actually haven't done myself.

Guest blogging..... It is best to find blogs in the same niche as yours..... Ask them to make a Guest blog..... Or you could try to find someone to exchange posts..... You make a post for them and they make one for you..... Don't forget to link to your own blog of course.

I sure hope that my blogging tips are helpful for you 😀

Hope you like my blog post.....Until next time.....Have a great day
