Where to find some great kids craft materials

Hi There.....Are you in lockdown? Do you have kids?

 I am not gonna talk to you about this lockdown situation.....I think people already are informed enough about that through messages from their governments or other blog posts 😵

 I was thinking more practical..... In terms of creativity for your children..... Did you know that arts and crafts help to support their fine gross motor skills and things like hand and eye coordination? 

 You did? Great..... If not you know now 😁

 If you put your kids in front of the screen all day..... Be it television or Tablet..... They will not have the chance to develop more hand and finger strength..... Learning and practicing how to use scissors and cutting, modeling clay, painting and coloring can help them with this.

 Creative activities also help them to think differently..... It will improve their imagination and concentration..... Your kids will have to figure out their own solutions to the problem at hand  😊

 I thought that this could be the perfect time to bond with your kid without them having the pressure of doing it right..... Because in creativity there is no right or wrong..... Just let your child's imagination lead the way 😎 

 Maybe I am a bit subjective..... I am a creative soul and can only recommend it from my own point of view..... Creativity has helped me get through some very bad times..... Maybe it can help your kids in the same way to get through these hard times 😚

Where to find the best Quilt Kits?

Hi There.....Do you like Quilts?

Did you know that today is Visit your Local Quilt Shop Day?

Me neither but I do like to browse through the calendar to see what kind of special day today could be 😊

It seems that Quilt shops aren't getting the attention they deserve. The purpose of this 'Visit your local Quilt shop day' is to give them the recognition they deserve. And to widen the scope Fabric shops of any kind can be part of it too.

I suppose most of you know what a quilt is but for those who don't.....Here is part of the description that I found on Wikipedia 

Quilts are textiles with multiple layers that are traditionally made up of three layers of fiber. Mostly they make a patchwork from smaller pieces of fabric, and the pattern and color of these pieces will be important to the design. They usually are quite light with little to no filling which makes them perfect as a blanket for spring or summer.

I have seen a lot of them on hobby fairs and I am always in admiration of the amount of work that goes into making such a quilt 😍

They have been introduced in Europe by the Crusaders in the 12th century as a quilted garment worn under their armor. One of the earliest existing works is the Tristan Quilt that was made around 1360 in Sicily.

They seem very popular in the United States where salvaging small scraps of fabric was a part of life for all households. It was often a communal activity, involving all the women and girls in a family or in a larger community.....But not only women would take part because there are also many historical examples of men participating in these quilt traditions.

Yes, girls don't be surprised.....But I know a few men who have creative hands 😉

Hi There.....Do you like to be creative?

No??? Really?? Ok stop reading and start being creative.....why??? Cause I am gonna show you some creative goody's today.....no, no food-related goody's.....if I made you hungry too bad cause there is gonna be no recipe here.....this is not a food blog 😁

I am actually too creative for my own good cause at the moment I am having some problems with my shoulder, a small tear in my tendon, and the pain has made me beadless.....haha bead less of course.....I have enough beads to supply me for the next years.....but don't tell that to my hubby 😂

Yes, I am well aware of the fact that I am a seedbeadaholic.....no need to worry.....and no I do not need a cure.

Did you know that standing naked in the shower beneath a stream of hot water makes your mind wander which is good for your creativity? A lot of solitary activities seem to sparkle the creative mind such as daydreaming or taking a walk.

I found on the internet that creative people have a short attention span, are easily distracted, and tend to talk to themselves more often.

true, true, not true......oh yes ok I admit the last one is also true.....I do tend to talk to myself but I am certain some of you also do this 😉
