I certainly hope so, because what good is blogging if nobody cares what you write about. You won't hear me complaining though, because my blog is still growing. 😍
How is your Instagram doing, because I hear many people complaining? Some Instagram influencers say they are losing followers instead of gaining them even though they haven't changed their tactics. Could be they have a lot of fake followers, and Instagram is working on removing those fake accounts at the moment. 😱
Oh my, that's a tremendous problem, isn't it? Nothing better than having some fake accounts, right? No problems with having to engage with them, because they don't return your likes or comments. 😎
Duh, no, of course not. I bet my next Instagram influencer agrees that engagement is very important. My star for today is the 32-year-old Christina P. Kantzavelos. She has 12.1K followers, which is almost twice as much as me. 😊
Do you have a day job? Full-time or Part-time?
I am a licensed psychotherapist and journal author @beginwithintoday, as well as gluten-free food, travel, and health-conscious lifestyle blogger @buenqamino
What made you decide to become an influencer?
Becoming an influencer happened organically. It wasn’t my initial intention. I just knew I wanted to share helpful resources with others, and my platform grew enough to warrant that. I am grateful to be helpful to others.
How many hours do you spend on Instagram on average?
1-2 a day, a few times a week. I like to take breaks, as needed.
Is fashion important to you? Why?
I live a creative lifestyle and enjoy finding a style that reflects this. Even if I am not feeling well, dressing up often puts me in a better mood. As I’ve gotten older, I learned about ethical and slow fashion and that became super important to me because we vote and make changes with our dollar.
What are your successes and how did you achieve them?
I have two master's degrees, including an undergraduate and a graduate degree from UCLA. I started my private practice, and blog, survived Lyme disease, and so much more. My purpose drives my success, and I want to acknowledge privilege as well.
Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy clothing?
Not exactly, unless the brand is known for being sustainably minded. I am happy to wear brands that aren’t known instead of brands that are established but aren’t ethical in their practices.
Describe your personal style of clothing?
My style is forever evolving and changing. Some days I feel like wearing all vintage, and other days, I feel like dressing up, or getting comfy in athleisure. Most days, I wear something in-between. I also love upcycled outfits. The one thing that’s constant is that my clothes are almost always comfy enough to sleep in. I am sensitive to various fabrics, and work from home, so I keep comfort in mind, while being camera-ready
How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?
I grew up being into indie and punk rock music, and that lent to an alternative style that has developed into what I wear now. Vintage, modern, funky, alternative, and cute. I like to say my style is what you’d imagine Kurt Cobain’s grandma to dress like.
Do you have an influence on other people’s clothing style?
Often I get asked where I purchase what I am wearing when I am out and about, or when I post to my stories or page. I’ve also been told I’ve inspired certain outfits and styles. It's an honor each time.
What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?
Color blocking and monochrome outfits are fun! I love the mesh tops too.
What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?
Hoodies under blazers and tractor boots. But hey, I don’t have to wear them.
What kind of fashion advice would you give us?
Forget trends and focus on what brings you the most confidence and joy. And remember, that what you spend your money on matters. It benefits the folks making your clothing, the brand selling them, and your community.
Who is your style icon and why?
I really love Zoe Kravitz’s style.
Is there something else you would like to share with us?
You are already beautiful! Your outfit simply accentuates it.
