Today, we’re about to uncover the glittery secrets and neutral nuances of the one and only Nyssa Green, makeup maestro, TV whiz, educator, author! ðšð✨
Now, I know I’ve already spilled more beans on my latest blog posts than a clumsy chef. Sure, the term ‘chef’ may not exactly resonate with my culinary skills, but that doesn’t mean I can’t toss in a few more beans while we’re at it? ðģðð
First, get ready for a rollercoaster of laughter as I share the colorful mishaps of my eyeshadow escapades. ðĻðĪŠ
Picture a canvas of eyeshadow hues that rivals a candy store, and yet, I confess to create a look, I often find comfort in the same neutral shades. Oh, the irony of a writer stuck in a color comfort zone! ððð
Ok then, dear readers, time for a second helping of glittery gossip and makeup magic. Because when you’re as fabulous as Nyssa Green, there’s no such thing as too many spilled beans! ðĪðą
Buckle up, as we embark on a glam adventure together. I’ve already confessed to my makeup misfortunes. Now let's find out what the best foundation for any fabulous makeup look is! ððð

What is your name, function, and the company you work for?
Nyssa Green, makeup artist, educator and owner of The Green Room Agency.
How old are you?
51
What kind of work do you do, or what are you studying to be?
I’m a makeup artist, tv consultant, educator, author and agency owner.
What made you decide to become a MakeUp Artist?
My love of all things beauty! Hair and makeup looks have been a huge interest since I was a kid!
Is beauty important to you? Why?
Beauty is important to me because it is the world that I was meant to be a part of.
What are your successes, and how did you achieve them?
Some of my successes include winning 8 Emmy Awards for my work in TV, writing my first book on makeup, (The Little Green Makeup Bible) and training other artists to have the makeup career they desire.
The many brides, authors, and dignitaries that have trusted me make me proud. As far as how, simple answer: God. My entire career has been a series of blessings and opportunities I could’ve never imagined. It’s also been a lot of hard work, sacrifice and awesome makeups.
What’s something you might want to do in the future?
This year I’ll host my first retreat for makeup artists: The Meraki Makeup Artist Retreat. I’ve partnered with OmNoire and I work with some great brands, so I know it’s going to be life changing!
Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy make-up?
For me and the artists in my agency, in some cases, yes….. We have clients that may lean towards certain luxury brands, but also, product performance matters. So even if it’s not the most popular brand, if it works, we’re using it.
Describe your personal make-up style?
Personally, I change and play with my own makeup looks a lot. Plus, I try things on myself before they go in my kit, so it’s never quite the same.
How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?
My signature look is clean and classic, usually with a pop of color.
Do you have an influence on other people’s make-up or clothing style?
Absolutely! Especially with my TV clients, we always collaborate on the full look.
What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?
One of my favorite trends right now is the focus on skin and skincare.
What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?
I hate the blush/highlighter on the tip of the nose trend! It’s just making everyone look a bit like Rudolph the reindeer.
What kind of beauty advice would you give us?
Don’t be afraid to try something new, like a lipstick color, a new way of doing your eyeshadow, or even just a new fragrance! And if all else fails, hire a makeup artist you trust to help you update your makeup look and advise you.
Who is your style icon and why?
I could never pick just one person! I love TV, film, and music, so people like Diana Ross in Mahogany, singers like Cher, Donna Summer, Grace Jones….I could go on and on.
