Have you ever seen Art made from Paper? Introducing you to Paper Art Artist Natlie Itinov

Hi There.....Have you ever seen art made from paper?

Well, I had not seen it before.....I have seen beads made from paper.....but that may just be because I am a seedbeadaholic 😁

So let me introduce you to Natalie Itinov who is fascinated by paper. As a student from the University of the Arts in London, she discovered paper as a delicate but resistant material. She could see the creative potential and was so inspired by it that is has become her main tool for creating ever since. And her efforts were rewarded when her final year paper sculpture was chosen as one of the best 12 pieces across all UAL colleges by the Creative Blog.

That is quite an achievement.....don't you agree 😃

As an artist, she had grown to believe that paper is a one of a kind material with the potential to be turned into anything. With that idea in mind, she started combining paper art with illustration, sculpture, metalwork, jewelry design and she is not afraid to experiment with materials.

That is what I think the strength of a creative maker.....not being afraid to experiment. Not all experiments turn into something good.....I can tell you that for sure. I found it in my case to have a large hunger for beading thread 😉

For Natalie, it has become a passion, a necessity, a therapy, and a dream. She is not limited to any type of project and takes on a variety of ideas and welcomes custom requests for any type of her hand-crafted artwork.

What could be the perfect Christmas Gift for Her

Hi There.....Do you like giving and getting gifts?

Who doesn't.....right 😃

Actually, I have been participating in a #handmakemychristmas challenge on Instagram.

So it inspired me to make a blog post on Christmas Gifts. I know it's a bit soon but better too soon than too late 😉

Have you ever done last minute Christmas gift shopping? I hate it.....too many people in the same place at the same time. I have to confess that I am the type that mostly shops online for gifts. Did you know that can be a bad thing sometimes too?

You may be wondering why or maybe you encountered the same problem as I did last year. My daughter is always the first one to ask who is buying gifts for who.....you see we always draw names. Last year I had to buy the presents for my son and I had been nagging him for a while to get me a list of the things he wanted.....yep I am the nagging type and he had so much to do that the list wasn't always on his mind.

I bet you know already what happened.....or almost then.....I got his list a few days before Christmas and ordered immediately but as you can imagine many people order last-minute gifts so the package was delayed.....but I was lucky to receive it just in the nick of time 😰

So the lesson that we learned today is that I will have to start nagging a bit more hehe 😊

How to stand out on a special occasion or wedding

Hi There.....have you had enough of all that cheap jewelry you see everybody walking around with?

Wouldn't you rather stand out with a very special piece of jewelry?

Well no need to look any further cause I have some beautiful pieces I want to show you 😁

Recently someone made a remark on my blog post that my title was not catchy at all. Well, it was anonymous but I still thought ok let's see if I can find a way to improve myself. So if you are reading this now.....what do you think is my title better now?

I am actually happy to get that kind of remarks cause I am always looking to improve myself or maybe I am just a bit crazy or who knows it might be both or there is another option I might be crazy not to take on any advice I get 😏

Did you know that there are many cultures that use jewelry to ward off evil? So if you don't own any it is time for you to buy some.....no time like the present 😁

Ok, let's see if I can find other reasons to get you past that threshold.

Did you know that making jewelry to me is more than just a passion? It is actually some kind of therapy for me ass well. I have a lot of joint problems as some of you know but what most of you might not know is that even though I take a lot of painkillers I still have to deal with pain on a daily basis. Making jewelry takes my mind off that pain and gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Hi There.....Do you like to be creative?

No??? Really?? Ok stop reading and start being creative.....why??? Cause I am gonna show you some creative goody's today.....no, no food-related goody's.....if I made you hungry too bad cause there is gonna be no recipe here.....this is not a food blog 😁

I am actually too creative for my own good cause at the moment I am having some problems with my shoulder, a small tear in my tendon, and the pain has made me beadless.....haha bead less of course.....I have enough beads to supply me for the next years.....but don't tell that to my hubby 😂

Yes, I am well aware of the fact that I am a seedbeadaholic.....no need to worry.....and no I do not need a cure.

Did you know that standing naked in the shower beneath a stream of hot water makes your mind wander which is good for your creativity? A lot of solitary activities seem to sparkle the creative mind such as daydreaming or taking a walk.

I found on the internet that creative people have a short attention span, are easily distracted, and tend to talk to themselves more often.

true, true, not true......oh yes ok I admit the last one is also true.....I do tend to talk to myself but I am certain some of you also do this 😉

Seadbeady's Finds on Etsy - 10

Hi There.....Do you have kids?

So do you celebrate the days leading up to 5 or 6 December?

We do here in Belgium mostly on the morning of the 6th of December. I know it is pretty soon to be talking about this but it won't be long before he arrives here on the steamboat. It seems like he is coming earlier every year.

Last year was the first time we set up presents for our granddaughter who was about 2.5 years old then. We had her sleepover a few days before the 6th and it was so much fun to see her so surprised that on the spot she had put her small boot there were gifts now too. Not sure if they even were for her 😊

I still remember those moments when I was a kid although it is a long time ago. I even found a picture of me and my both sisters on the morning of Saint Nicholas. I am the one in front of the picture reaching out to the chocolate figurine.

I was in Center Parcs in De Eemhof last weekend and didn't have time for blogging as you can imagine. I was there with my husband, daughter, son in law and my granddaughter. I had a great time swimming, walking, playing with my granddaughter but afterward, my muscles were completely sore and stiff. 😭

Haha.....I know crying won't make the pain go away.

But in the package I was gifted this summer by Aloeverademallorca there was a product that could make me feel better.

So I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised by the menthol scent of this product. That is a big plus for me cause I hate it when everybody can tell when you use this kind of produce. Must say I have no complaints about this gel cause for me it did as promised. It eased my pain after a few minutes and I felt a lot better.
