The Ultimate Guide to Becoming a Trendsetting Social Media Influencer Fashion Model

Hi, rockstars! Ever seen those super cool people on TV and Instagram wearing the fanciest clothes? They're like superheroes called fashion models and social media influencers! And guess what? You can totally be one too!

Composition by Seadbeady

Picture yourself, all dressed up in the coolest outfit, strutting around like you own the world. People taking your picture, and everyone going; “Wow, so amazing!” πŸŽ₯😎

Now wait, there’s a little secret. Being a model and influencer isn’t just about looking exceptional. It’s like a super fun game where you have to know some tricks. πŸ˜‰

We’re talking about dressing up like a superstar, posing like a champion, and making people go “WOWZA!” every time they see your pics. I am talking about super important stuff 😲

Yep, it's totally serious, and it might make you yawn! I'm saying sorry ahead of time, just in case! πŸ˜”

Hey, just joking, it’s not gonna be all serious and boring. Nope, it’s gonna be funnier than a rubber chicken at a birthday party! πŸ”πŸ˜‚

Ok, maybe not that funny, but I bet it will be close, because this autumn chicken knows how to strut her stuff! πŸ”πŸ˜Ž

In this blog, we’re serving up fashion modeling wisdom designed just for social media influencers. It’s a blend of humor, practicality, and tips to make your “I woke up like this - and that means fabulous!” pose a breeze! 😁

Ok then, grab your selfie stick, find your best angle, and get ready to pout your lips, smolder, and work it. πŸ‘„πŸ˜Š

**1. Have confidence in your fashion model skills 🌟**

Confidence means believing in yourself and feeling like a superstar. When you feel super confident, people will want to follow you and see what you do.

You're unique and special, just like a shiny, one-of-a-kind diamond. Confidence even shows in how you stand and move, so practice looking strong and being happy when you're in front of a camera.

**2. Find Your Cool Angles! πŸ“Έ**

Imagine you have magical poses that make you look amazing. Try different poses and angles like a superhero discovering their superpowers.

Look at yourself in the mirror or take pretend pictures to find your best angles. With practice, you'll know exactly how to look your best!

**3. Talk with Your Eyes! πŸ‘️πŸ‘️**

Your eyes are like secret messengers. You can use them to show feelings and connect with your social media influencer friends who follow you.

Try making different eye expressions, like showing you're happy, curious, excited, or even a little mysterious. Your eyes can tell a story without words!

**4. Flash a Big, Real Smile! πŸ˜ƒ**

Smiles are like sunshine in pictures. They make your photos super friendly and happy. Try different smiles and see which one feels just right for you.

Remember, it's better to have a relaxed and real smile, like when you're having fun. Think of something that makes you super happy, and your smile will be perfect!

**5. Strike Cool Poses! πŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒ**

Great posing can make your pictures go from okay to wow! Check out how professional models pose and practice those poses.

Remember, your body has its own special shapes, and you can use them to look amazing. There's even a cool pose called the "S-curve" that makes you look fabulous!

**6. Try Out Different Styles! πŸ‘—πŸ‘ **

Being a fashion influencer means you can wear all sorts of cool outfits. Try different styles, from fancy clothes to comfy ones, and change your poses to match.

This way, lots of different people will want to follow you because you can be like a fashion chameleon!

**7. Shine a Light on You! ☀️**

Light is like magic in photos. Natural light from the sun is like a warm, golden hug that makes you look great.

Try taking pictures when the sun is rising or setting for that lovely glow. If you're inside, use soft, gentle lights so your photos look smooth and pretty.

**8. Edit Your Pics with Care! πŸ–Œ️**

Editing is like adding a sprinkle of stardust to your photos. But don't go overboard! Just make tiny changes to make your natural beauty shine even more.

Be honest with your followers and tell them if you made big changes to your pictures.

**9. Practice Makes Perfect! πŸ’ͺ**

Even superheroes practice to become super awesome. So practice your poses, smiles, and expressions regularly. The more you practice, the more super confident you'll become!

**10. Team Up and Learn Together! 🀝**

Sometimes, it's cool to team up with other social media influencers, photographers, or stylish people.

Share your stories and tips, go to fun classes, and listen when your friends give you good advice. It's like having a superhero squad to help you become even better!

So, remember, you can be a super-duper influencer fashion model! It just takes a little practice and a lot of smiles.
What's important, though, is to keep being your unique, amazing self, and your followers will love you even more! πŸš€πŸŒŸ

Well, I suppose since this is my blog, I can chat about ice cream or intergalactic space travel if I want, right? Just play along and say yes for fun. πŸ¦πŸŒŒπŸ˜„

MERA SILK's Vision on Sustainable Fashion

Mera Silk's sustainability approach revolves around small batch production and slow fashion, emphasising classic styles.
Our choice of silk, a biodegradable material, further reduces our environmental impact. We prioritise minimal packaging, avoiding plastic and opting for compostable materials, minimising waste.

By producing in small batches, we ensure quality control, reduce waste, and remain responsive to customer demand, preventing overproduction. Our classic designs promote slow fashion, encouraging customers to invest in timeless pieces, reducing overall consumption.

Silk's biodegradability means our garments decompose naturally, unlike synthetic materials. We use eco-friendly dyes and production processes, reducing water and chemical use. Transparency and ethical practices guide our supply chain.

Mera Silk is dedicated to a sustainable future, where style and environmental responsibility coexist harmoniously, offering customers long-lasting silk pieces while minimising fashion's impact on the planet.

Chaos Handbags's Vision on Sustainable Fashion

When it comes to sustainability, an increasing focus is being put on how we can reuse or recycle materials. Notably, the fashion industry is increasingly characterized by the waste it creates when producing garments and accessories, such as handbags.

Byproducts, such as wastewater from dyeing and material scraps, enter landfills and waterways, contributing to worldwide issues with pollution and waste.

Chaos by Elsie, a range of handbags for women, upcycles leather fragments used in the production cycle, which eliminates this waste from entering landfills.

By upcycling material to create new handbags, we save approximately 826 thousand gallons of water. And over nine tons of waste leather get reused in producing Chaos handbags.

Through our one-for-one giving program, Your Purchase Feeds, Chaos handbags have provided over 25 thousand meals to children in need in the United States and India. To date, the program has provided 45 million meals to kids around the world.

A.M. Custom Clothing's Vision to Sustainable Fashion

One way in which consumers can make more ethical fashion choices is by realizing the different third party sustainability accreditations that are available.

These accreditations are often largely misunderstood in an industry that is often plagued by greenwashing. Or, they are simply not common knowledge to everyday consumers.

We strive to overcome this hurdle at A.M. Custom Clothing by educating our customers on the different accreditations available in the clothing industry.

Picture provided by A M Custom Clothing

We provide quality, certified garments to our customers to give people assurance to fashion brands.
Such third party accreditations include Fairtrade, Fair Wear, OEKO-TEX and more. We believe that this honesty and commitment to sustainability is why some of the biggest brands in the world have trusted us as their sustainable garment supplier.

It's important to remember that modern day consumers are increasingly on the lookout for brands that are trusted for their commitment to sustainability and ethics.

As earlier discussed, any brand can green wash and claim their garments are ‘green’, but looking for third party fashion accreditations when shopping for sustainable clothing can help to cut through the noise and you can find brands you can really trust.

I want to give a super-duper shout-out to three amazing brands for being a part of this cool blog post! 😍

And if you're thinking, "I wish my brand was mentioned here," don't sweat it! πŸ˜…

You can leave a message on my blog post or contact me to share, in between 150 and 200 words, how your brand is a superhero for Mother Nature with eco-friendly sustainable fashion. πŸ˜ƒ

You may not realise, but now is also the perfect time to dive into my other blog posts on this exceptional topic, if I say so myself. Give them a read! πŸ˜„

Interview with Jewelry Designer Sheila Johnston

Hi There! Do you think jewelry design is super interesting? Ok, and what about sparkly opal jewelry? Does it make you smile?

Picture provided by Sheila Johnston

Cool, that means you might be ready for a new interview. Now what a coincidence, so am I. Yay, I just killed two birds with one stone. 🐦🐦😁

What?? No, of course not literally. I wouldn’t hurt a fly. Oh my, that’s a lie. I have killed several flies. Does that make me a killer? 😰

Then again, I wonder, because I only hit them with my kitchen towel, so they fall to the floor. That’s all I do, I swear. They aren’t dead, just unconscious. 😡😟

It’s not my fault that our sweet cat knows this and is ready to devour them the moment they touch the ground. πŸ˜‚πŸ±

I am sorry I drifted again. What were we talking about? Ah yes, we were talking about opal jewelry design. 😎

Have you ever laid your eyes upon a piece of jewelry so exquisite that it made your heart flutter with joy and excitement? πŸ˜πŸ’•

Get ready, because right after this little twist, I’ll introduce you to an amazing opal jewelry designer who wants to make you feel as amazed as she does! 😊

Her goal is to capture the same joy and excitement she feels when designing and sourcing her opal jewelry and share it with you! πŸ˜„

She wants you to experience the magic of opals and wear jewelry that tells a story of beauty, wonder, and adventure. ✨😘

So, dear readers, get ready to embark on a sparkly journey you won’t want to miss! πŸŽ’πŸ’Ž

Picture provided by Sheila Johnston

What are your name, function, and the company you work for?

My name is Sheila Johnston and I am the owner and founder of Sheila Marie Opals.

How old are you?

I am 58 years old.

What kind of work do you do, or what are you studying to be?

I left a corporate career in life insurance to pursue my dream of a company that does business with our neighbors to the south, Mexico.

I studied Spanish there after college and fell in love with the culture and experience. I now have a great relationship with a family that owns an opal mine there.

What made you decide to become a Jewelry Designer?

About 15 years ago my husband decided I needed a hobby (though I’m still not sure why:). He encouraged me to take up jewelry making, usually with beads. Surprisingly to me, I really liked it.

Then he opened a boutique shop making handmade candles and other small batch items. We thought jewelry would be a good addition.

I made a few pieces of jewelry with opals and saw an opportunity to offer a larger variety of opals than I see in stores, even those that specialize in opals. I have a very diverse collection of opals in my store.

Picture provided by Sheila Johnston

Is fashion important to you? Why?

Though I no longer really wear them, I must admit that I feel very comfortable and stylish in a business suit and high heels. I usually felt a certain amount of confidence and sophistication when wearing them.

Now that I’m out of the corporate world and designing jewelry I find I choose clothes that work for the jewelry I want to wear for the day, usually quite casual. Oftentimes my husband will offer ideas on clothes he likes, we have fun with it.

What are your successes, and how did you achieve them?

Creating my own business with connections to Mexico is my biggest business success. Though it took me a while, I am a very persistent person and determined to reach my goals no matter how long it takes.

Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy clothing or jewelry?

Generally, no. However, I certainly like buying a name brand when I know that it means better quality. I usually wear clothing, shoes, handbags and jewelry for a long time and want to know it will last.

Describe your personal style of fashion?

I have for the most part been somewhat conservative in how I dress and the jewelry I wear, especially when I was in the corporate world. That has changed somewhat now that I am running my own business, but not a lot. I do enjoy finding vintage clothing of timeless classics when I can and good quality 70’s and 80’s throwbacks too.

How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?

In my earlier years I was always very frugal, perhaps to a fault. I would buy clothes and jewelry that I really loved, but very few items. I would wear them very often. I’m now willing to spend more and have more, though I still love the classics.

Picture provided by Sheila Johnston

Do you have an influence on other people’s fashion style?

I have made people aware that there are a lot of options in jewelry they may not have been aware of. I’ve helped dispel superstitions about wearing opals.

There are lots of myths that people still believe about wearing opals that are not true. Most were started in the 1800s but for some reason have continued and are still believed today.

What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?

I like chain, though not too big and heavy. I like to use chain in my designs and experiment with the chain and how it works with the shape of the stone. For example the paperclip is not too big and heavy, but usually sturdy enough to stand the test of time.

What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?

I’m not a big fan of the big, bulky chains that are popular at the moment. I prefer a bit more refined chain, especially when I’m pairing it with gemstones, opals, of course.

What kind of fashion advice would you give us?

I would say your approach to fashion can vary by the day. If you want to highlight your jewelry for the day or occasion to make a statement, start with the jewelry and choose your clothes around it.

Picture provided by Sheila Johnston

A super-duper thanks, Sheila, for chatting with me in this interview. Your jewelry is super special, and it's so cool that you are trying to help pets in Ukraine.

Hey, if you don't want to stop reading, you can take a peek at the awesome chats I had with other jewelry creators before this! So, if you want more glittery tales, they're all set for you to jump into!

Interview With Fashion Stylist Jessica Armstrong

Hi There!! Are you aware that today is the perfect moment for an interview with a fashion stylist who doubles as a personal shopper?

Picture provided by Jessica Armstrong

Well, you’ve come to the right place because today, we’re going to meet someone who turns clothes into magic spells! 😊

Say hello to Jessica Armstrong, a superstar in fashion styling! She’s like a fashion fairy who can turn anyone into a style superhero, even if they’re rocking pajamas! πŸ˜„

She doesn’t just work with regular folks; oh no! Our fashion stylist of today styles models who strut their stuff on fancy runways, and celebrities who are known by everyone, even your grandma’s pet parrot! 🐦😁

Now wait a minute! I might not be famous, like a movie star or someone your grandma’s parrot talks about, but I love to sing! Well, at least I like to think I’m pretty good at it. Maybe it’s best not to burst my bubble! πŸ˜„

You never know what manufacturers use to make these bubbles. Come on, you really don't want all that stuff to suddenly pop up on your screen like a surprise party you weren't ready for! πŸ˜„πŸŽ‰

Hold on, there’s more to know about Jessica! She is not just a fashion wizard for the rich and famous. She’s also a personal shopper, which means she helps normal people like you and me look like a million bucks without spending a million bucks! 😎

She’s like a magical style expert who can organize your clothes, pick the right outfits no matter the weather, and make you shine at parties and even in your wildest dreams! 😜

So, let's hurry on to that fashion stylist interview, and like me, put on your fanciest slippers. πŸ˜‰

Yes, you read that right. One day I got all dressed up for work, and guess what? I put on my fanciest, sparkly slippers instead of my shiny work shoes! 😴

I luckaly noticed after a short walk, but what a goofball move, right? So, remember to wear your fancy slippers only when you're not going to work! πŸ˜‚

Time to get ready for a journey through closets, runways, and red carpets! 😍

Picture provided by Jessica Armstrong

What is your name, function and the company you work for?

Jessica Armstrong, Fashion Stylist & owner of the online store Closet Intuition

How old are you?

42

What kind of work do you do or what are you studying to be?

I am a Fashion Stylist and I work with commercial clients & personal clients. This means  that I style models, various talent & celebrities for anything ranging from advertising  campaigns, press events to red-carpet premieres. I also work with personal clients,  cleansing their wardrobes, shopping & styling them for the various seasons, events and  traveling.

In addition, I recently launched my online store Closet Intuition. The online store is every  consumer's one-stop-shop for all their styling needs! We know the importance of great  basics & unique key seasonal pieces to keep their look fresh. Closet Intuition is a curated  shop that offers hand selected key pieces for each season, must-have basics and all the  styling tools necessary to maintain a flawless look!

What made you decide to become a Fashion Stylist?

I have had a passion for styling people since a young age! I was always dressing up my friends and staging photo shoots as a teenager. I began my professional career as a  Fashion Designer.

My designs were carried by retailers such as Urban Outfitters, Forever  21 and Nordstrom. After working in the design field, I decided to get back to my roots,  styling people! It brings me so much joy and I love the positive impact it has on people!

Is fashion important to you? Why?

Fashion has always been important to me because it is a form of creativity and self expression.

What are your successes, and how did you achieve them?

My greatest success is that I have made a career out of doing something that I love! I  have achieved this through many years of dedication to my craft, hard work and  perseverance- in addition to my unique creative perspective.

Picture provided by Jessica Armstrong

What’s something you might want to do in the future?

This industry is always evolving so it is hard to predict what the future will look like. I do  know that I always wanted to be involved in fashion and working with people in some  capacity.

Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy clothing or jewelry?

That is a tricky question- yes and no. It is important in the sense when it stands for quality,  and innovative design or dependable classics. However, I do not practice purchasing  wardrobe or accessories just for a name.

There is a lot of great fashion that is overlooked.
Also, there are times when a more affordable option serves the same purpose as an  expensive designer counterpart.

Describe your personal style of fashion?

Eclectic. I like to have fun with fashion so I do not subscribe to one look! I love classic  pieces and also experimenting with trends!

How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?

My personal style wasn’t something I had to find, it is as simple as being true to who I am. I  absolutely believe it is important to dress appropriately for the occasion and I take my  body-type into account but otherwise what I will come up with is always a surprise!

In what way do you influence other people’s fashion style?

People hire me for my expertise so I influence them by giving my advice. I always discuss  weighing the importance of lifestyle, body-type, budget and personal preference of a  classic look versus a trendy look.

Picture provided by Jessica Armstrong

What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?

A few of my favorite trends this season are: cut-out silhouettes, head-to-toe red looks,  corsets and oversized blazers.

What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?

Personally I am not a huge fan of the return of the ultra-low rise pant- it’s very hard to pull  off!! It is only flattering on a small percent of the population.

What kind of fashion advice would you give us?

Never say, “I love that but I can’t wear that.” Fashion is about having fun and not being  afraid to express your personality!!

Who is your style icon, and why?

I have a few but I’ll start with Kate Moss & Rihanna. They both are always pushing the  edge of fashion limits while still managing to be appropriate and relatable. They reinvent  themselves constantly and are also clearly themselves.

Is there something else you would like to share with us?

Always have fun with fashion and your personal style!
Please visit my store Closet Intuition, www.ClosetIntuition.com & IG @ClosetIntuition, for  the latest in fashion! I am constantly featuring new brands and I offer wardrobe,  accessories & shoes for both men & women in a wide variety of price points. Happy  Shopping!

Picture provided by Jessica Armstrong

Jessica, I really appreciate you being a part of my fashion stylist interview. Totally agree that it's important to have fun with fashion.

If you don't want to stop reading, you can go check out the awesome chats I had with other fashion designers earlier! So, if you're in the mood for more stories, they're excitedly waiting for you to join and have a super fun time! πŸ“š

Sustainable Fashion and Eco-Friendly Fashion Practices - Part 3

Hi There! Are you ready for a third part about sustainable fashion and eco-friendly practices?

Composition by Seadbeady

Can you believe it? We’re on the third leg of our exceptional adventure to make our planet a greener and happier place through fashion! πŸ¦΅πŸ˜„

No, of course, we don’t have three legs. Can you imagine what fashion would look like? Designers would have to redesign everything to fit that third leg into a pair of pants. πŸ˜‚

There would be advantages, though. Do you know, for instance, why a three-legged person would become a pro athlete? Because they always have a leg up on the competition! πŸƒ‍♂️πŸƒ‍♀️

Enough jokes, so what do these fashion brands do, and how do they become eco-friendly and sustainable? Well, get ready to discover the secrets, my eco-champion friends! πŸŒΏπŸ˜‰

Fashion brands are like the creative minds behind the clothes we wear. Some of them have this incredible vision to make the world a cleaner, kinder place, and they put their visions into action! 🌍😊

That’s why I just had to write these blog posts about eco-friendly fashion because it’s like dressing up the Earth in fancy, green clothes! πŸ’šπŸ˜

Hooray, I totally love it because when I was tiny, I had a blast dressing up and pretending! πŸ‘§πŸŽ‰

Oh dear, I just realised, I don’t have a green dress, and I finally got the black dress I wanted so badly. Do I seriously have to give it up for a green one now? 😧

Nope, not at all my friends! Mother Earth is the one who’s doing a wardrobe makeover, not us! 😎

In this exciting part of our adventure, we’ll meet some incredible fashion brands. We’ll learn how they dream big and turn those dreams into reality by crafting clothing that’s kind to the environment and people. πŸŽ‡πŸ˜„

Fashion brands can be like Earth’s best buddies, helping it stay clean, green, and happy. And on this adventure, we’ll discover how they do it, all while creating stylish and sustainable outfits. Are you excited? Because I sure am! πŸ˜

Napes & Necklines's Vision on Sustainable Fashion

Sustainable fashion to me is not much different from the three R’s adage used to encourage waste reduction – reduce, reuse, and recycle.

This same adage applies to my work in fashion, just slightly different. Reduce the amount of clothing consumed, reuse worn out or outdated clothing, and use recycled fabric whenever possible.

Reduce

I designed a new type of scarf/collar and clip because I had a closet full of expensive shirts that I didn’t like and hardly ever wore.

Not a fan of traditional scarves or necklaces that hang around the neck, however, I needed a way to polish up my basic cotton shirts that are comfortable to wear but lack elegance.

Now, I buy fewer shirts and have the option to dress up the shirts I already own with my scarf/collar design.

Picture provided by Napes & Necklines

Reuse

In addition to selling my scarf/collar and clips, I will soon be also offering my pattern for free so that people can make their own A-line shaped scarves out of whatever fabric they already own (i.e., fabric scraps and old clothing).

Recycle

My current scarf/collar is made of cotton, but I plan to use recycled fabrics and organic cotton in the future.

Picture provided by Lost Discoveries

Lost Discoveries's Vision on Sustainable Fashion

I started selling vintage fashion on Etsy some years ago.
After handling many vintage garments, I realized that they teach a lesson.

Many have been meticulously repaired with carefully sewn-in holes by past owners. They did all this to extend the garments' lifespan.

People had different relationships with their possessions back then. Minor flaws were not a reason to throw clothes away.

Today, fast fashion encourages us to buy low-quality garments for cheap, and replace them as soon as they lose color and shape. If you buy fast fashion, then you know how soon that happens.

Picture provided by Lost Discoveries

Quality issues are one aspect that raises demand for vintage. The other drive is escaping mass production. Clothes with age are becoming rare and unique. Wearing them allows you to create your own distinct style.

I hardly buy new stuff anymore for myself. Last year, I only picked up a pair of jeans from a regular store. It's actually quite liberating.

My wardrobe is now full of designer pieces, high-quality linen, and silk outfits. I scored them for a cheap price. Much less than shopping in the cheapest fast fashion chains would cost me.

Picture provided by LeatherLuxe

LeatherLuxe's Vision on Sustainable Fashion

In today's world, where the fashion industry is synonymous with fast trends and disposable production, sustainable fashion stands out as a beacon of hope.

It's not just a trend; it's a movement towards responsible and ethical practices that benefit both the planet and its people.

There are many ways to make more sustainable fashion choices.

Here are a few tips:

Choose natural materials, such as organic cotton, linen, and hemp.
Avoid synthetic materials, such as polyester and nylon, which are made from fossil fuels.
Look for recycled or upcycled materials..
Buy secondhand items.
Repair and mend your clothes instead of throwing them away.
Support brands that are committed to sustainability.

Picture provided by LeatherLuxe

Sustainable fashion is not just about the materials used to make products. It is also about the way clothes are produced and disposed of.

When you buy sustainable items, you are helping to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry.

At LeatherLuxe, we're committed to sustainable fashion in every stitch and detail. We prioritize using high-quality, eco-friendly materials like top-grain leather in our products.

By choosing materials that age beautifully and endure, we encourage longevity and reduce the need for constant replacements.

I want to say a big thank you to three awesome brands for helping with this blog post. 😍

And if you're thinking, "Oh no, I wish my brand was in this blog," don't worry! πŸ˜‰

You can still email me and tell me, in at least 150 words but no more than 200 words, how your brand helps Mother Nature with eco-friendly fashion. πŸ˜ƒ

Now's a great time to read my other blog posts about this topic. Check them out! πŸ˜„

Hope you like my blog.....Until next time.....Have a nice day
