Introducing you to - SunnySideCouture

Hi There.....Are you a fan of Vintage style fashion?

If so be sure to read on, cause today I am introducing you to SunnySideCouture

The shop owner's name is Sunny....you can understand where the name comes from 😊

She is a costume designer and got into designing vintage style menswear through music. That is something you don't hear every day.
She played the saxophone since she was 14 and has always been a fan of big band music. She started playing at Lindy hop parties and that's what inspired her to make 30's and 40's style clothing.
It didn't take long before she became full time occupied with making swing trousers. What a cool name for a pair of trousers.....don't you agree?

After having made 100 trousers, she decided to get help with executing. Together with Arnhem Fashion factory she found a small factory in Romania to execute her designs.
That is not an easy task, because she is very picky on details and pre-war menswear has a lot of them. Like little watch pockets, adjustment straps, piped pockets, welt pockets,... and they all have to be perfect.

To make sure she gets the quality she wants, she sources all the materials herself. For the trousers and waistcoats they use beautiful 100% wool all made in the EU. Sometimes she gets lucky and finds the absolute top quality tweeds that she then uses for custom made orders.

Introducing you to - treesizeverse

Hi There.....Are you a fan of handmade bags?

If your answer is yes I have great news for you, cause today I want to introduce you to Treesizeverse.

The maker of this shop was born and raised in a small village in Belgium. His parents and grandparents were fruitfarmers. His inspiration came from his grandmother, who sewed a lof of different things.
He followed a classical tailoring course, but lost interest in it, and went to the Academy of fine art and studied printmaking.
He worked as a full time artist for several years, and had the opportunity to exhibit all over the world.
After a gap of 18 years he found the taste again to design and make things on his sewingmachine.

Just like many other Etsy shop owners he started very small. Not being able to find the right bag for him, made him decide to make one himself. He got so many nice compliments and requests from friends and family that he decided to make some for other people.

So when one day he opened shop he had a clear vison. He wanted to make bags that would last for a long time, and even get better by use. He looked for special fabrics like antique linen, and waxed canvas. They had proven themself to be great survivors in time, and get more beautiful with age.

He is still learning today and wants every new bag to be better than the one before 😊

Although I wouldn't take that too literally - they are far to nice to throw with 😙

The shop owner is a big fan of bling and makes her custom pillows and x-long shower curtains look beautiful and luxurious. She gets inspired by all the sparkles and beauty these items bring to her every day. This way she wants to bring joy and warmth to your home interior.

All pillows and shower curtains are made to order. You get to choose fabrics and trims to fit your decor in your home and she does the rest with her collection of designer fabrics.

Seadbeady's finds on Etsy - 3

Hi There.....Feeling hot enough?

Seems like the temperatures are going through the roof in Europa and other parts of the world. Here in Belgium temperatures reach above 30 celcius at the moment 😰

Europe is at the moment in the middle of a heatwave and it is said that the all-time record of 48 celcius of july 1977 might get broken in the coming days.

We are going to the mall this afternoon to see if there is somewhere we can find an airco still. Seems we made the decision to buy one a bit too late and they are mostly sold out everywhere. In our appartment the temperatures also rise to 30 - 31 some moments. So thumbs up for us that we can still find one 😅

Sales at BeadworkSeadbeady

Hi There.....Are you a fan of my beadwork?

If you are I have great news for you. I am having a sale in my BeadworkSeadbeady shop on Etsy. You get a 20 % discount on almost all my items up until the end of july 😀

Some of you may already know that I am a seedbeadaholic. I have lots of back and joint problems and my body needs rest from time to time. So instead of watching tv or just doing nothing, I make beadwork jewelry.

I also looove making special beadwork and I have a lot of own designs 😃 It takes a lot of time and patience. But I have no problem with that. Some of my beadwork jewelry pieces takes about a week to make and some even longer 😊

A while ago someone asked me what my beads were made of.....plastic maybe she guessed.....no, no, no I replied they are all made of glass. It was so obvious for me that I never thought anyone would think that. So lately I have started adding that info to my listings. But since I already have more than 180 now, I am still working on that 😉
