I used to do a lot of rock climbing when I was just a teeny bit younger. Ok, ok, you caught me on a lie. Perhaps it was a teeny bit longer ago then. 😏
Such a shame that they didn't have those kinds of T-shirt designs back then. We had tees, obviously, but the fabrics were completely different. I may be old, but not ancient. 😁
My mom and dad were in a hiker club when I and both my sisters were still toddlers. They always took us with them on long walks across the countryside. 😍
As we got somewhat older, they sometimes took us walking in the Belgian Ardennes, where there were a lot of forests, hills, rivers, and rocks, too. The mountains in Belgium are not that high, but there are lots of great nature paths. 😊
We also often went to Wales on holiday and visited lots of mountains and waterfalls. I just love waterfalls. Our visit to Swallow falls is something that is etched in my mind. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt. 😜
Ah, ok, you are waiting for my tips on rock climbing inspired T-shirt designs. Dynamite Starfish gifted me this cute Mountain mama T-shirt in return for my honest opinion. 😍

What is Dynamite Starfish?
Artist and climber Leslie Kim created dynamite Starfish in 2015. She wanted to create art that highlights the experiences they share as climbers and ultimately brings people together. She believes the lessons learned as rock climbers are important, and transfer over into our everyday lives to help us better care for one another and build community.
Knowing that simply "raising stoke" about climbing isn't enough to keep the passion alive. Before any t-shirt designs were printed, she looked for local organizations that did conservation work in areas she actively climbs in.
Dynamite Starfish donates a percentage of its profits to groups or causes in need. Some of their previous partners include The Navajo and Hopi Families' Covid-19 Relief Fund, The Access Fund, The Friends of Joshua Tree, Friends of the Inyo, Central Wyoming Climbers Association, American Safe Climbing Association, Planned Parenthood, and the American Himalayan Foundation.
Their Mission
They create rock climbing-inspired stickers and T-shirt designs for climbers, misfits, and lovers.
They seek to create spaces where individuals are free to be themselves. They may not all self-identify as climbers, so they include the misfits: the beautiful spirits who don't fit into any pre-defined box or category.
If climbing has taught them anything, it's how to be a better friend and partner as they hold each other's lives dearly by ropes. To climb is to love. Dynamite Starfish also believes in approaching life, climbing, and the outdoors with mindfulness for the longevity of our lives and our planet's resources.
They offer designs on t-shirts and tanks, which are carefully chosen for softness, comfort, and the least environmental impact.
Many of their tees are screen-printed by Leslie in Los Angeles, California. They print their made-to-order items using a network of printers that allows them to offer a large variety of T-shirt designs and styles.
A few of their values
Live the life that makes you free.
Respect nature and the outdoors.
Create meaningful experiences.
Find beauty in the everyday life.
Inspire one another.
What's with the name?
Dynamite Starfish is a climbing move! Check out the definition below.
"Tightly gripping handholds, simultaneously flagging out both legs then proceeding to violently kick downwards and inwards in a desperate attempt to produce upwards motion; making the climber resemble an explosive bottom feeder."
What does that mean to them? Regardless of how you may appear to others, keep trying. Continue to be bold and brave and always open to learning.

Responsibility & Sustainability
At Dynamite Starfish, they believe in living our best lives indoors and outdoors. Healthy environments are key to this mission. Here are some ways they are working towards creating better environments for ourselves, others, and the planet.
- Eco-friendly manufacturing
They only print on tees made in WRAP certified factories. This certification is important to them because they insist on ethical business practices from themselves and their partners. - Their main tees supplier uses water-saving dye machines that save 7x as much water as conventional dye machines, and filters and recycles the water they use.
- They also have solar energy-powered cutting and sewing facilities, virtually zero waste thanks to recycling, and use natural or LED lights.
- When available, Dynamite Starfish offers 100% organic cotton options for health focuses.
- Eco-friendly shipping
They use biodegradable or recyclable bags for mailing most of their products. - They do not wrap their tees in plastic wrap like many other e-commerce companies. Your tee will come in minimal packaging with a few informational items from them.
- Social Responsibility
Their brand messaging promotes mindfulness outdoors. Specifically, this means respecting nature and other living things (including humans) with whom you share it with. They also believe that spending time outdoors is a necessary and healing experience for all, and we should not inhibit that for ourselves or others. - Outdoor Ethics Education
At Dynamite Starfish, they do what they can to spread the word about outdoor ethics. Whether that's working with the Access Fund to illustrate their Climbers Pact or printing the 7 Leave No Trace principles on the back of event tees, they want to do their part to keep our outdoor spaces as natural as possible.
Building a better world isn't easy. They know they have their work cut out for them, but they're in it for the long haul.

My opinion on the Mountain mama T-shirt
I adore the color of this T-shirt, it's exactly as I expected. The cut in the back and the fit are great, and the T-shirt is very soft and feels good on my skin. It's perfect for a hot summer day because the fabric is very thin.
What I find a big plus is their packaging. They didn't wrap the T-shirt in plastic. I love shops that are environmentally responsible and take steps to preserve mother nature.
Let me show you some of their other T-shirt designs
You can also find them on Etsy
Hope you like my blog.....Until next time.....Have a nice day
