Unfortunately, it was an online chat, as always with my interviews. Seems like I’m only certified to meet fabulous people through a screen! π

I dream of meeting these fabulous folks in person. Maybe one day, one of them will invite me to meet them in real life. A person can dream, right? ππ€π
Oh my, I just realized you might all want to meet them too. Imagine, I could make a field trip out of it for all of us! I’d have no doubt to foot the bill. π²ππΈ
Did you believe that, my dear readers? Yeah, neither did I. π
π«

Tamara’s journey started back in the 70s and 80s in a loving home. Her mom, Cynthia, wasn’t your regular mom; she was like a magical beauty guru, revealing all the secrets of beauty. πππ©π
Inspired by fabulous icons, Tamara got a masterclass in colors and skincare right at home. π¨π π
Still, Tamara didn’t start with fancy jobs. She did loads of things to make her dream come true. π¦πͺπ

What is your name, function and the company you work for?
My name is Tamara Delbridge, I am celebrity makeup artist and licensed Esthetician. I freelance and am also contracted therefore I’m self employed.
How old are you?
I am 50 years old.
What kind of work do you do, or what are you studying to be?
I work on television, film and digital productions and I use my Esthetics licenses in the skincare realm as beauty copy writer for Black Girls Bond.com, and across social media platforms
What made you decide to become a Make-Up-Artist?
I decided to become a professional makeup artist after I accidentally landed a job at the Fashion Fair Counter at Bloomingdales 59th Street flagship store in the mid 90’s.
Is beauty important to you? Why?
Beauty is important to me because it allows space for self expression, self confidence and self care.

What are your successes, and how did you achieve them?
I have worked my way up from the makeup counter to leading makeup departments on the silver screen. My work has been seen my millions of people over the course of the twenty years that I’ve been a professional makeup artist.
Although I’ve succeeded high levels in the entertainment industry earning several Emmy considerations,I have continued to challenge myself and so in my late 40’s I continued my beauty education. I’ve earned a Skin Therapy Certification, two state licenses and several advanced esthetics certifications. I push my limits and constantly bet on myself.
What’s something you might want to do in the future?
I would love to create my own skincare line. It is the sole reason as to why continue my skincare ingredients education. I am passionate about cosmetics.
However my first love is skincare and skin health.
Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy make-up?
When I buy makeup, I look for inclusivity and quality first and foremost.
Describe your personal make-up style?
I would say that my makeup style is subtle with a dash of sex appeal.
How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?
I’ve been curating my personal style for 40 years. It is constantly evolving but is based
on my late mothers lessons on layering and high-low shopping. She was tasteful,
glamorous and she shared that with me. I still dress like her with a 2023 flair.

Do you have an influence on other people’s make-up or clothing style?
I have the ability to influence other people’s makeup and clothing styles because they trust me. I have the ability to step outside of myself to help them achieve the look that is best for their face shape, skin tone, and body type.
What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?
I’ve noticed that makeup has become more skin focused. I love that.
What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?
I would love to see the panty and pants trend end It has had its moment.
What kind of beauty advice would you give us?
I would advise you to look in the mirror and speak words of love and confidence into that mirror.
Confidence is more beautiful than any product that you use on your face. Also, less is more, if you don’t have to cover your entire face with foundation don‘t do it.
Who is your style icon and why?
I was born the disco 70’s., so women like Donna Summer, Diana Ross and Chaka Khan are who draw my inspiration from.
Is there something else you would like to share with us?
I think I’ve bared my soul. Ha! Thank you for taking time to get to know me.
