Interview With Fashion Designer Neha Khanna

Hey there, my lovely eco-fashionistas! Do you ever wonder what it’s like to be a fashion designer who makes super cool, eco-friendly clothes? Perhaps you are wondering how you can look exceptional while also helping to save the planet? πŸŒΏπŸŒπŸ‘š

Well, this is your lucky day, because today we’re talking to someone who does just that! πŸ˜„πŸŽ¨πŸ’š

Neha Khanna, the Head of Design at Fabrica Kraft, is all about creating a beautiful, earth-friendly fashion that doesn’t hurt the planet. She’s basically like a superhero who turns plants into pretty dresses. 🌱🦸‍♀️πŸ‘–

I wonder if that's a new concept, though. Didn't Adam put a fig leaf in front of his... well, you know... in the Garden of Eden? πŸ€”πŸŒ³πŸƒ

No, I’m not that religious, but it does make you think. Maybe Eve could have done it! Who knows? Perhaps she was the one trying to start the world’s first eco-friendly fashion trend! πŸ˜„πŸ‘—πŸŒ

Ok, enough nonsense, but before we dive into our fashion designer’s world, let me share a little secret about why I’m so into this planet-friendly stuff. πŸ€«πŸ’‘

When I was a kid, my parents, who were super cool and eco-smart, taught me an important lesson. πŸ§‘‍🀝‍πŸ§‘πŸŒΏ

They used to say; “Imagine if everyone threw just one piece of paper on the ground. Pretty soon, you’d have an entire mountain of trash!” πŸ˜¨πŸ—‘️⛰️

That thought stuck with me, and ever since then, I’ve been all about taking care of our beautiful planet. πŸŒŽπŸ’•

So guess what? That’s exactly what Neha and her team at Fabrica Kraft are doing, making sure their designs are not only gorgeous but also super kind to Mother Earth. πŸ€©πŸ‘—✨

They make custom, budget-friendly goodies that are as stylish as they are sustainable. πŸ’ΈπŸŽ€

Now, get ready to learn how Neha is turning the world green, one fabulous eco-friendly design at a time! πŸ˜ŽπŸŒ±πŸŒŸ

What is your name, function, and the company you work for?

Neha Khanna, Head of Designs and CEO Of Fabrica Kraft

How old are you?

39 Years

What kind of work do you do, or what are you studying to be?

I operate an e-commerce business based in the USA, catering to customers in various countries.

What made you decide to become a Fashion Designer?

I was driven by a passion for creative expression and a deep commitment to sustainability. The desire to merge these two passions led to the creation of Fabrica Kraft, where fashion serves as a platform to promote eco-friendly practices and ethical manufacturing, making a positive impact in the fashion industry.

Is fashion important to you? Why?

Absolutely, fashion is very important, and for several reasons:

Expression of Brand Values:

Fashion is a powerful medium through which communicates its core values. Our clothing and accessory lines are not just about style; they're about making a statement on sustainability, ethical production, and eco-friendliness. Each piece is designed to reflect these values, resonating with consumers who share similar beliefs.

Trendsetting with a Purpose:

In the fashion world, trends come and go, but focus is on creating timeless pieces that transcend seasonal trends. We aim to set trends that promote sustainability, encouraging consumers to make conscious choices about what they wear.

Customer Engagement and Lifestyle Alignment:

Fashion is a form of self-expression for our customers. By offering a range of trendy, sustainable fashion products, we enable our customers to express their individuality while aligning with their lifestyle and values.

Brand Identity and Recognition:

Our fashion products play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining brand identity. Unique designs, quality materials, and our ethical approach help stand out in a crowded market, building brand recognition and loyalty.

In summary, fashion at Fabrica Kraft is not just about aesthetics; it's a reflection of our commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and customer engagement. It’s a tool for change, expression, and building a community around shared value.

What are your successes, and how did you achieve them?

My success story is that I launched a bootstrapped business in the U.S., which now boasts a revenue of $1.2 million and a dedicated team of 40. Over the past three years, we've collaborated with diverse artisans globally, contributing to our significant growth and international reach.

What’s something you might want to do in the future?

In the future, I aim to expand Fabrica Kraft's global footprint, introducing more innovative, sustainable fashion lines and collaborating with a wider network of artisans. I'm also looking forward to integrating advanced eco-friendly technologies in our production processes to further minimize our environmental impact.

Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy clothing or jewellery?

The name of the brand is indeed an important factor when consumers choose to buy clothing or jewelry. This importance is driven by several factors:

Brand Reputation and Trust:

The brand name often signifies a level of trust and quality. Customers are more inclined to purchase from a brand they recognize and trust.

Value Alignment:

Consumers increasingly seek brands whose values align with their own, especially in the realms of sustainability and ethical practices.

Quality Assurance:

A reputable brand name can be indicative of product quality. Name assures customers of high-quality materials and craftsmanship in our clothing and jewellery, justifying their purchase decision.

Brand Loyalty and Community:

A strong brand name can foster a sense of community among its customers.

Fashion Statement and Identity:

For many consumers, the brand of their clothing or jewelry is a fashion statement in itself.
Therefore, the brand name, especially one that stands for positive and impactful values, plays a significant role in consumer purchase decisions in the fashion and jewelry sectors.

Describe your personal style of fashion?

Personal style in fashion is a harmonious blend of sustainability, minimalist elegance, ethical sophistication, practical functionality, contemporary timelessness, and inclusive diversity.

This style is not just about how our products look but also about the values and stories they represent.

How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?

I discovered my personal style by aligning Fabrica Kraft's values with fashion trends. It's characterized by sustainable, ethically made pieces that are both elegant and eco-conscious.

My signature look combines timeless designs with a modern twist, reflecting a commitment to the environment and ethical practices in every outfit.

Do you have an influence on other people’s fashion style?

Absolutely, as Fabrica Kraft, I significantly influence people's fashion choices. By showcasing sustainable, ethical fashion, I inspire to make conscious style decisions, blending eco-friendliness with trendy designs, thus creating a ripple effect of awareness and change in the fashion industry.

What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?

In my perspective as Fabrica Kraft, the best current trends are those that beautifully merge sustainability with modern aesthetics. Firstly, there's a growing trend towards using eco-friendly materials like organic cotton, bamboo, and recycled fabrics, which is revolutionizing the fashion industry.

These materials not only reduce environmental impact but also offer high-quality and durability in clothing.
Another significant trend is the shift towards timeless, classic designs over fast fashion. This move encourages consumers to invest in pieces that last longer, reducing waste and promoting a more sustainable wardrobe.

Also, there's an increasing preference for minimalist and versatile styles. These pieces offer flexibility and longevity, aligning with a more conscious and intentional approach to fashion design.

Lastly, the incorporation of technology in fashion, like digital fitting rooms and AI-based style recommendations, is enhancing the shopping experience while reducing returns and waste.

These trends reflect a broader movement towards responsible fashion, aligning perfectly with Fabrica Kraft’s values of sustainability, quality, and ethical practices.

What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?

Currently, the worst trends are fast fashion and over-consumption, which prioritize short-term trends over sustainability and quality. These practices lead to environmental harm and ethical issues in manufacturing. We advocate for conscious consumerism and long-lasting, ethical fashion choices.

What kind of fashion advice would you give us?

Embrace sustainable and ethical fashion choices. Invest in timeless, high-quality pieces that reflect your personal style and values. Prioritize versatility and functionality in your wardrobe and consider the environmental impact of your fashion purchases. Fashion should reflect both your style and your commitment to sustainability.

Who is your style icon, and why?

As Fabrica Kraft, my style icon isn't a person but a concept – the fusion of sustainability with chic, timeless design. This icon represents anyone who skilfully balances fashion-forward thinking with environmental responsibility, choosing pieces that are as ethically made as they are stylish. It's about embodying the ethos of sustainable fashion in every aspect.

Is there something else you would like to share with us?

Absolutely! At Fabrica Kraft, we're continuously exploring innovative ways to enhance sustainability in fashion. Keep an eye out for our upcoming collections featuring cutting-edge eco-friendly materials and designs. We're excited to share our journey towards a more sustainable future in fashion with you. Stay tuned for more!
