Introducing To You - Yaelsplace

Hi There.....Do you like cake?

I suppose almost anyone does. I do that's for sure. And this I do also has a lot to do with the shop I would like to introduce to you - Yaelsplace

This shop sells mostly handmade Wedding Cake Toppers. Yael, the shop owner, is a self taught artist. She has been experimenting with different types of arts and crafts for most of her life.

About 10 years ago she decided to put the focus on her art. But when she discovered polymer clay a few years ago she immediately knew it would become her passion. The idea came to her when her nephew turned 4 and wanted animals on his Birthday Cake. Since Cake Toppers are not common in Israel she couldn't find any at such short notice and had to make them herself. She made it from marzipan to start with, but that made her realize they might work in polymer clay too.

From that point on it was a very challenging journey with mistakes and frustration belonging to the territory. After a few years she felt her work had developed enough to open her Etsy shop.

It was a slow start and having an online shop is very challenging on so many levels. Her customers are a great source of inspiration. She loves working with brides. Hearing their new ideas and requests to create custom Wedding Toppers for them that are the perfect addition to their wedding cake.

Introducing to you - MyLila

As a little girl, she saw her mom knitting sweaters for her, her sisters and a lot of her cousins. That inspired her to get an education on apparel and textiles. And after several years of professional experience she decided to design her own collection. She handpicked the colors and let Indian artisans make each product hand knit with 100% acrylic yarn. Each item is signed by the artisan who has knit it.

This way she wants to empower other women. Mylila is commited to support economically challenged and low-income artisans in India. 30% of the profits are given back to the artisans. Introducing to you - Viktoriyasilk

Hi There.....I have another introduction for you 😊Are you ready to meet Viktoriyasilk?

The shop owner, Victoria, lives in Ukraine and her heart belongs to art in all of its forms. Her main hobby is embroidery, which she inherited from her grandmother.

She makes all kinds of art, with stones or feathers, on walls and furniture and on canvas. She plans on opening a second shop for all this artwork somewhere in the future. For a while she had to put her shop on hold to pay full attention to her son. But now that he's all grown up she can focus back on her shop.

Introducing to you - The SandlapperShop

Hi There.....Are you ready for another introduction?

This time I want to introduce you to the SandlapperShop. A shop with special greeting cards, Vintage, Quilting and Whimsy items.

Jeanne, the shop owner, enjoys having her shop on Etsy, where she finds that other shop owners and shopper are so warm and kind. Her shop has an assortment of listings. She has vintage items that were carefully packed away and in beautiful condition because her ancestors just couldn't part with their treasures. Since she can't put them all on display herself, she decided to put them on sale in her shop for others to enjoy them.

Introducing to you - AWhimsicalPaperie

Hi There.....Let me introduce you to AWhimsicalPaperie a shop with invites inspired by love for brides and weddings.

The shop owner Maggie had been in love with all things wedding ever since she was a little girl. She fell in love with the countless beautiful details that made every wedding day a fairy tale. In college she decided to share her love of weddings and received her certification for becoming a wedding planner. A few short years later she met the man of her dreams and was able to plan her own fairy tale day 😊
And since recently they welcomed a little girl to their family. Opening an Etsy shop allowed her to spend time with her daughter and at the same time be able to keep working in the field she loves. She and her husband, a graphic designer, work together in creating unique and personal wedding stationary.
