How to stand out on a special occasion or wedding

Hi There.....have you had enough of all that cheap jewelry you see everybody walking around with?

Wouldn't you rather stand out with a very special piece of jewelry?

Well no need to look any further cause I have some beautiful pieces I want to show you 😁

Recently someone made a remark on my blog post that my title was not catchy at all. Well, it was anonymous but I still thought ok let's see if I can find a way to improve myself. So if you are reading this now.....what do you think is my title better now?

I am actually happy to get that kind of remarks cause I am always looking to improve myself or maybe I am just a bit crazy or who knows it might be both or there is another option I might be crazy not to take on any advice I get 😏

Did you know that there are many cultures that use jewelry to ward off evil? So if you don't own any it is time for you to buy some.....no time like the present 😁

Ok, let's see if I can find other reasons to get you past that threshold.

Did you know that making jewelry to me is more than just a passion? It is actually some kind of therapy for me ass well. I have a lot of joint problems as some of you know but what most of you might not know is that even though I take a lot of painkillers I still have to deal with pain on a daily basis. Making jewelry takes my mind off that pain and gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Hi There.....Do you like to be creative?

No??? Really?? Ok stop reading and start being creative.....why??? Cause I am gonna show you some creative goody's today.....no, no food-related goody's.....if I made you hungry too bad cause there is gonna be no recipe here.....this is not a food blog 😁

I am actually too creative for my own good cause at the moment I am having some problems with my shoulder, a small tear in my tendon, and the pain has made me beadless.....haha bead less of course.....I have enough beads to supply me for the next years.....but don't tell that to my hubby 😂

Yes, I am well aware of the fact that I am a seedbeadaholic.....no need to worry.....and no I do not need a cure.

Did you know that standing naked in the shower beneath a stream of hot water makes your mind wander which is good for your creativity? A lot of solitary activities seem to sparkle the creative mind such as daydreaming or taking a walk.

I found on the internet that creative people have a short attention span, are easily distracted, and tend to talk to themselves more often.

true, true, not true......oh yes ok I admit the last one is also true.....I do tend to talk to myself but I am certain some of you also do this 😉

Seadbeady's Finds on Etsy - 10

Hi There.....Do you have kids?

So do you celebrate the days leading up to 5 or 6 December?

We do here in Belgium mostly on the morning of the 6th of December. I know it is pretty soon to be talking about this but it won't be long before he arrives here on the steamboat. It seems like he is coming earlier every year.

Last year was the first time we set up presents for our granddaughter who was about 2.5 years old then. We had her sleepover a few days before the 6th and it was so much fun to see her so surprised that on the spot she had put her small boot there were gifts now too. Not sure if they even were for her 😊

I still remember those moments when I was a kid although it is a long time ago. I even found a picture of me and my both sisters on the morning of Saint Nicholas. I am the one in front of the picture reaching out to the chocolate figurine.


Aren't we the cutest haha 😉

Introducing you to - Aloeverademallorca (3)

Hi There.....Have you missed me?

I was in Center Parcs in De Eemhof last weekend and didn't have time for blogging as you can imagine. I was there with my husband, daughter, son in law and my granddaughter. I had a great time swimming, walking, playing with my granddaughter but afterward, my muscles were completely sore and stiff.  😭

 Haha.....I know crying won't make the pain go away. 

 But in the package I was gifted this summer by Aloeverademallorca there was a product that could make me feel better. 

Aloë vera hot/cold gel with chili oil and 83 % aloë vera


This is what Aloeverademallorca says about their hot/cold gel:

 The combination of the Aloë Vera gel with chili oil and menthol provides a warm and comfortable feeling. It relaxes the muscles in for instance neck, back or legs. The cold and hot effect relieves your tendon or joint pain.

 So I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised by the menthol scent of this product. That is a big plus for me cause I hate it when everybody can tell when you use this kind of produce. Must say I have no complaints about this gel cause for me it did as promised. It eased my pain after a few minutes and I felt a lot better. 

 Today I wanted to show you some of the other things they have in store for you 😊

Seadbeady's finds on Etsy - 9

Hi There.....Are you preparing for Fall?

I don't know actually if I will ever be prepared for that season cause it is not really my favorite. Although I think it does have some good things too.....like the colors for instance and seeing new collections of clothes for the season in shops.

Before my gastric bypass, I didn't really care that much for new clothes.....the only thing I did find interesting were shoes cause no matter how much my weight was they would always stay the same size. Oh yes, and accessories, of course, like scarves they would always fit no matter what.

Ah, I bet you want to know what my weight was before and now. I went from 108 kg down to about 67.5 or 68 kg now 😁

It has been a year and a half now since I took that step and I haven't regretted one single moment. And my eating habits have changed a lot. The most positive thing about it is that I don't crave things that hold too much sugar anymore.....There are a lot of things that I don't even like anymore that I used to love eating. And I am not interested in learning to eat them again. The more I stay away from sweet things the less I crave them.....It takes discipline but I know now that I never wanna go back to the way I was 😰

But let's talk about my favorite thing about autumn.....The colors for this year's Fall Fashion.

This is what I found on Vogue Italia about it 😊
  • Whisky brown: a warm, enveloping hue, just like the famous liquor. Its natural nuances remind of wood’s veining. Sies Marjan, Calvin Klein, Chloé

Introducing you to - Katsign

Hi There.....Are you a fan of cats or maybe even a cat lady?

I am just crazy about those little creatures.....but I am also a big fan of the bigger types of cats as long as they can't get to me lol 😁

That is why today I want to introduce you to Katsign

She makes the most beautiful pictures of cats. Her object is to catch that natural look that portrays the character of the cat. She has had tons of experience.....that is why she speaks their language to get them in a relaxed pose in front of the camera. She strives to get the perfect picture in a relaxed way.

She has been in the press on numerous occasions and her pictures have been published in magazines.
Last year she received the first-ever European Photographer Label as a European Cat photographer.

In short.....she is amazing 😊

But that's not all she also makes all kinds of cat stuff. Cute and fun things made out of pure felt and 100% cotton. Things like jewelry with all kinds of animals, cat baskets, clutches, purses, keychains, brooches, and so much more.

Most recently she added special Cat T-shirts for women to her shop. Super soft in a mix of bamboo (70% bamboo and 30% biological cotton) and Fair Wear. They are being handprinted in London and for every T-shirt she sells a part gets donated to the World Land Trust to protect endangered species.

Don't you just love it when people come up for a good cause.
