Where to Buy Eyeglasses Online - EYEKEEPER - Online Eyeglasses

Hi There..... Are you looking to buy eyeglasses online? Would you like to hear a stupid joke about eyeglasses?

No? Too bad, because before I tell you about online eyeglasses, I am telling it anyway. It’s a joke my uncle told me a long time ago. 😉

A man goes to the ophthalmologist and says, Doctor, I think I need reading glasses. Yes, the doctor says, what seems to be the problem? The man says, I almost have to stretch my arms fully to read my book. The doctor says, come back again when your arms become too short. 😁

I know, it’s a stupid but still fun joke. Maybe not that fun for me anymore, because I have the same problem now. I read on Wikipedia that many extreme presbyopes complain their arms have become too short to hold reading material at a comfortable distance. 😦

They say that the first symptoms that you need eyeglasses, starts after the age of 40. What most people notice is difficulty reading the fine print, especially in low light conditions. They also have problems with eyestrain when reading for long periods, blurring of near objects, or temporarily blurred vision when changing the viewing distance. 😫

I have just passed 40, and it pains me to say that it’s true. Ok, maybe I passed 40 a tad longer than just, but that’s not the point at the moment. 😏

What would you say if I said that I discovered a great online eyeglasses shop where you can find a huge choice in all kinds of glasses? Ooh, you caught me on a lie. I haven’t found them. They found me. 😊

A few weeks ago EYEKEEPER reached out to me, asking if I would consider writing a blog for them. They offered me a pair of reading glasses from them to try out, in exchange for my honest opinion, and they also wanted me to try out their computer glasses with a blue light filter. Now how could I say no to that? 😎

Don't you just love this retro half-moon design? And they also have these in black, yellow, and green. It is one of their customers ' favorites, and I can understand why, because I am also in love with this cute design. But there is no need to worry if you are not that much a fan of this one because they have heaps of different models and colors. 😍

First, let me tell you more about EYEKEEPER. They are a Company, specialized in reading glasses and blue-blocking glasses. They had a nice reputation as Eyekepper, an Amazon seller, so in 2019 they created the sub-brand EYEKEEPER, and now own their own shopping site.

They say that according to surveys, more and more people suffer from presbyopia as they get older, so the demand for reading glasses is increasing.

Maybe it's because people just live longer, which results in a bigger percentage of elderly people. Not sure if Corona will have changed this tendance. I bet there will be studies about that after all this madness is over. 😉

EYEKEEPER provides quality and ex-factory price reading glasses and customer service. They make their frames design, the most comfortable fit available, besides unparalleled durability.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Aspheric scratch resistant coated lenses. Top-quality Plastic frame. Optically correct.
Whether you are looking for reading glasses for the office or home. EYEKEEPER reading glasses will give you the premium protection you are looking for.

I just love that they are nice and light, and they delivered them in this lovely black box with a soft cloth. I am so happy with the shape and fit of these glasses.

Believe me, the weight of your glasses is more important than you may think. I once bought myself a pair of glasses that really felt heavy on my nose. I had them for the longest time, still do, but I just don't like to use them.

Now let me tell you more about this second pair of eyeglasses. I didn't even realize that I needed them. For a while now, I was having problems with dry eyes and fatigue when I had been busy too long on my laptop or my cell-phone.

You could say that I sometimes get caught up too much in giving likes on my Instagram. There are also times when I have taken a walk for a bit too long, and have to pay the consequence with back pains, that I stay on my laptop longer the next days.

I read on Preventblindness that continued exposure to blue light over time could lead to damaged retinal cells. Fatigue, dry eyes, bad lighting, or how you sit in front of the computer can cause eyestrain. Symptoms of eyestrain include sore or irritated eyes and difficulty focusing. 😧

I was happy that EYEKEEPER pointed this out to me and asked me to try out one of their blue light blocking reading glasses. Seems I don't know everything, am not perfect and human after all. 😄

They say that in this age of ubiquitous electronic products, more people realized that blue light can cause Eye disease, so the demand for anti-blue-ray products is growing. They have a large variety of computer reading glasses, perfect for long hours in front of a screen.

Whether you work in front of a computer screen or just love to read on your iPad or similar reading tablet, these computer reading glasses will help lessen the strain on your eyes.

The number one solution is to decrease the time spent in front of these screens and/or take frequent breaks to give your eyes rest, of course, but it may not be a bad idea to wear these kinds of glasses. If there is no other option but to continue working or even playing on your computer screen, they may be exactly what you need. 😊

Ok, I chose the type myself, but I am so delighted with this gold color design. Mine are magnification strength +1.5, but if you have no need for magnification, you can choose their +0.0 computer glasses. They are also available in black or gunmetal, but just like their reading glasses, they have heaps of other types. 😍

These computer glasses have made quite a difference in using my laptop and my cell phone. My eyes don't feel so dry, irritated, and itchy anymore. It was as if a new world opened up for me. Now I can multiply my time on Instagram. Haha, no, of course not. 😂

A little tip still from EYEKEEPER

To avoid damage, never clean your reading glasses with paper towels or clothing, or alcohol. Avoid using household detergents or soaps. While a few mild soaps don't harm lenses, today's extra strength soaps are powerful enough to slowly disintegrate lens coatings.

By the way, I have some splendid news for you. Not that I have anything to gain by telling you this, but if you use the code REN15 - you get a 15% discount at

Hope you like my blog.....Until next time.....Have a nice day

Interview on Women's Fashion with Instagram Influencer Dima Kontar

Hi There..... Are you an Instagram Influencer and do you love Women’s Fashion?

Ah great, that means you are just like me. Oops, no, that’s impossible, because there is nobody like me. I am one of a kind. I bet you are too. 😁

It is said though that everybody has a twin somewhere. I haven’t met mine, but something very weird happened to me about 20 years ago. 😮

In the supermarket, I was waiting for my turn, on the cold cuts counter, when someone pushed me aside. I didn’t know the man that pushed me and looked at him in surprise. I am so sorry, he said, but you are the spitting image of my sister. 😯

Have you ever encountered anything like that?

Something similar happened to me a second time, about 15 years ago. I know it’s pretty hard to believe, but pinky swear that it’s true. 😉

I went to my first rehearsal with a new choir. One member almost fainted when she saw me. She had a younger sister that had died a few years ago and according to her; I looked exactly like her. Pretty weird, right? 😲

Back to the point again. What was I talking about? Ah, yes, I wanted to know if you were an Instagram Influencer and into Women’s Fashion. 😊

Maybe you don’t even like Influencers, or worse, you don’t like fashion. I sure hope not, because today is my first interview with a Fashion Influencer. I have done a few interviews with Fashion Designers, and I think it’s fun to get to know more about them. 😍

This inspired me to start a series of interviews with Instagram Influencers who are into women’s fashion. If I can find them of course, because that is not the most straightforward task. If you have any suggestions where to find some or even just one more, that would be outstanding. It pains me to say that they are not all standing in line, waiting for me to feature them on my blog. 😏

Could be because I have done none before, or maybe because I am picky. They would have to have a minimum of 15.000 followers on Instagram. My first star of the show totally fits the bill. Her name is Dima Kontar, she is 35 and has a whopping amount of 32.9 K followers. 😲

Do you have a day job? Full-time or Part-time?

Full-time job.

How many hours do you spend on Instagram on average?

An average of 4h/day on Instagram, and about 8h/day working on campaigns, emails, communications, shooting, and video and photo edits.

Is fashion important to you? Why?

Definitely. The way we dress reflects our character and personality. Every woman has her own fashion label defined by her style and preference. Therefore, it is extremely important to me to dress appropriately for every occasion, and in a way that suits my daily life to achieve an elegant and comfortable look at the same time.

What are your successes and how did you achieve them?

I have a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration. Although I have worked in healthcare for several years and I was very successful in it, I had a huge fashion for modeling which I started at 14. Throughout the years I had two jobs: a full-time hospital job during the day and a modeling job in the afternoons and the weekends.

My journey on Instagram started as a model where I have achieved tremendous success. This journey changed over the years towards digital creation and influencing as I became a mom. I am sure every mom reading this will know how our lovely kids transform our lives. And now social media turned into a full-time job for me!

Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy clothing?

Although I prefer certain brands, I care more about the cut and design of any fashion piece I want to wear. I believe this is more important than the brand name. My motto is that elegance and beauty don’t have a brand name!

Describe your personal style of clothing?

I am more of a casual, elegant person and this fits my daily life.

How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?

Personally, I prefer to dress up to the occasion. My signature in all my looks is chic and elegance, whether it is an everyday look or an occasion look.

Do you have an influence on other people’s clothing style?

I believe every person following me gets influenced by the style that fits their character. That’s why I always display fashion looks that can suit a variety of populations, and they can incorporate into their daily looks.

What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?

Nowadays it is very important to me to be trendy and unique elegantly.

What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?

The worst trends are the ones you can’t incorporate into your daily style. They cause a feeling of discomfort when trying to adopt these styles.

What kind of fashion advice would you give us?

Dress in a way that suits your body and curves. You might see a nice fashion piece that you love and would want to wear, but that doesn’t suit your body form. Not every trend fits everyone. Choose what looks nice on you and reflects your beauty.

Who is your style icon and why?

No one in particular. I love to be creative and unique, and mix and match my closet items, to make a fresh look every day. I love to choose trendy fashion pieces and assemble them in a chic, elegant way. Remember to always shop according to your wardrobe and transform some old pieces you have. You will be fascinated with the results.

Is there something else you would like to share with us?

Always be yourself. You are beautiful the way you are. Dress to impress. And don't forget to follow me on my social media to learn more about fashion trends, tips, and hacks.

Interview with Fashion Designer Marlene Solis

Hi There..... Are you in for another fashion designer interview? Do you love spending time outdoors, long walks in the sunshine? Do you use sun protection?

I was a real sunbather when I was young. My skin is pretty pale though, which can pose a real problem sometimes. 😳

That reminds me of a time when I went to a summer camp to go sailing. To protect my skin, I had to use the highest sun protection factor. When I was 20, there was no sun protection factor 50, the highest I remember having was 20. 😒

The problem was that once on the sailboat there was no time in between to rub in some more sunscreen protection. Can you imagine the result of being about 4 hours on that sailboat? 😎

Aha, you probably guessed it right. I was so badly burned that a lobster would look pale next to me. 😂

I remember going to a restaurant that evening and just the tablecloth touching my legs would be painful. Falling asleep at night wasn't easy either. I was so relieved when after a few days it turned into a very nice brown color. Lesson learned the hard way, and I know now that it's far from healthy. 😬

But today is not about me, but about Marlene Solis. She is today's star on my blog. She is the 29-year-old founder and designer of California based Florescnt

What kind of work do you do, or what are you studying to be?

I wear all hats at Florescnt, my sun protection clothing brand start-up which launched online at florescnt.com in January.

Is fashion important to you? Why?

Absolutely! Fashion has been mesmerizing to me for as long as I can remember. Aside from the glossy pages of a fashion magazine, clothing is my favorite form of self-expression.

I like people watching and coming up with what music they listen to, what their hobbies are, etc. based on their outfits. Fashion really is a massive look into what a person is like and what they subscribe to.

What are your successes and how did you achieve them?

I have worked in the background of fashion and theatre for 11 years. I count my achievements as being every time the first sample of a design I worked on gets approved for mass production. Also on times when I have seen costumes I have worked on for weeks, make their stage debut on opening night.

Counting each design as a success humbles me. I devote my attention and skills to everything I work on, even if it means working longer than usual to complete something. You should be proud of everything your hands touch.

Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy clothing?

Depends on how you are asking this question. Do I have favorite brands? Absolutely. If I see a Fred Perry label on a garment, for example, the label alone will more than likely persuade me to purchase the item.

But if I am at a non-label retailer or second-hand shop, then the fit and how it blends with my style are my selling points. I am petite and curvy so most of the time this is the scenario since few name brands offer petite sizing.

Describe your personal style of clothing?

I feel like quarantine has changed this! Even with my style’s evolution over time and with fewer outings to put outfits together for, I would say that simplicity still rules.

My style is simple and mod with splashes of rock ‘n’ roll psychedelia. These days you’ll catch me in the Florescnt boyfriend tee with ripped jeans and a moto jacket, paired with pointed ballet flats.

How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?

My personal style came about by falling in love with all things from the ’60s, as a teenager, and my background in rock music as a teen as well.

My outfits have transformed from kitsch 60s looks into refined styles in skinny trousers and more business appropriate tops. I think people would call my cat eyeliner my “signature look” since I have perfected it and have worn this look since I was about 14!

Do you have an influence on other people’s clothing style?

I don’t know. If I have, they have been quiet about it or silently influenced.

What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?

I like the more casual trends. Not so much the sweats trend, but not having to dress up for everything has been nice. I am still in love with the 90s resurgence in fashion.

Loving everything in checkers print (which we will have available at Florescnt). And I am digging the more widespread use of BIPOC models in fashion advertisements.

What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?

Sweats, the overuse of tie-dye, and the cow print coming from the 90s resurgence.

What kind of fashion advice would you give us?

Be yourself. Know how to dress your body type and everything will be flattering on you.

Who is your style icon and why?

This is a tough question! There are so many that inspire my wardrobe!

#1 Style icon would have to be Edie Sedgewick, I will always reference her through simple silhouettes and leopard print coats. She is one of those style icons you come across as an adolescent and fall madly in love with because they had a glamourous life with rock star friends and art world lovers.

It’s something you easily desire when you’re young. And then you find out the truth about how they lived and leave behind wanting their lifestyle, but their wardrobe in photographs you will never forget.

Is there something else you would like to share with us?

Don’t be afraid to dress, unlike others. If you stand out, people will slowly follow your style. And, if that also means dressing down compared to others in your circle, do it!

One person’s level of comfort is not everyone else’s, so do you. Be conscious of the elements, wear your SPF (Sun Protection Factor) and get some UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) from Florescnt because you can still be stylish and proactive about protection from UV radiation from the sun.

I would like to add something I found on their website, which I found important to share with you. 😎

The brand aims to raise awareness for skin cancer, its detection, and its prevention to make known that it is the most common type of cancer but that it is also the only preventable form of cancer.

They intend to reduce the 91.3M cases of melanoma diagnosed every year in the United States and prevent the deaths caused by late detection.

They create products that effortlessly become part of a person's unique wardrobe for UPF 50+ protection all day, every day.

So maybe it's not the best idea to be foolish like me, and try to turn into a lobster, because it's not that fun. 😏

I am also learning something new, every time I do this kind of interview. Did you know what BIPOC models are? I didn't, so I looked it up and found that it stands for Black, Indigenous, People of Color. 😚

Hope you like my blog.....Until next time.....Have a nice day

Interview with Fashion Designer Marci Lebowitz

Hi There..... Are you creative? Are you a fiber artist like the fashion designer who I will feature on my blog today?

I am no fiber artist but I am super creative, I knit, I sew and I make and design beadwork jewelry. If I would find the time, I would also do a bit of drawing and painting too, but there are just 24 hours in a day.

I may be chronically ill, but I am creative enough to keep myself busy, and it keeps my mind off the pain I have to deal with daily. Writing my blog also keeps me busy and gives me a sense of purpose. Some may call me crazy, but I don't earn any money by blogging. It's just something I love to do.

There are so many wonderful and creative hobbies. Sometimes it takes a while to find the best one for you. I only got into beading at 47 so who knows what I will think of next. It's never too late to try out new things.

By the way, I am still looking for Fashion Influencers with a minimum following of 20.000 to interview on my blog the same way as the Fashion Designers. A few different questions, of course, but I am still trying to find them so if you know of any that would be interested, send them over to me. I will welcome them with open arms or if you have other wonderful ideas, let me know in the comments or send me a message.

Today is not about a traditional fashion designer. She did not really fit in the regular box. But since I make the rules, I am free to break them if I like. I call the shots here on my blog; I am King of the Jungle.

The star on my blog post today is Marci Lebowitz. She is 55 and the owner, chief designer, and creator of Follow The Threads.

What kind of work do you do, or what are you studying to be?

I’m a fashion designer, stylist, and fiber artist. My specialty is spinning funky, flavorful art yarns I make into fiber embellishments worn all over the body.

Is fashion important to you? Why?

Oh my gosh, fashion is everything to me. It has always been since I was a tiny girl. Now I have the courage and strength and ease to create and express in ways that are natural to me, both in my designs and what I wear.

What are your successes and how did you achieve them?

I have so many successes! I’d probably say the biggest is leaving my miserable life behind on the east coast, having the courage to challenge the conditioning they offered me and creating a life and fashion business based 100% on my inner guidance. I am now living up in the redwood forest in central California free of Wi-Fi and surrounded by lots of kindness! That’s an enormous success!

Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy clothing?

I am generally not influenced by brands. What’s important to me is the beauty of the materials, the shape, the textures, and how clothing makes me feel.

Describe your personal style of clothing? How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?

My style found me! I’ve spent so much time shopping for fabrics and clothes for my clients that I would also spend time shopping for myself, discovering what I like.

I would have to say my signature style is super colorful with many layers or all black. I wear fitted leggings in the cooler months with highly textured tops, hats, scarves, and jewelry. I have these great fur-lined black suede winter boots with red laces that I’m especially fond of this year.

When it's warmer, you can find me in well-fitting, colorful, or all-black skirts & dresses, and funky, fitted tops with a bunch of jewelry. Taos brand sandals are my go-to for my feet because they fit my foot really well so I can walk in them in all kinds of terrains.
I’m particularly enamored right now with having great-fitting shoes that are funky and fashionable!

Do you have an influence on other people’s clothing style?

Yes! You can discover how I influence at Instagram @marcilebowitz.shop and my webpage at www.Marcilebowitz.shop.

I love creating for bold and expressive festival-goers, rock stars, and people who love unique fashion expressions!

What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?

Honestly, I don’t follow fashion trends…. I tune in to what I love and follow that no matter what everyone else is wearing and doing.

What are in your eyes the worst trends at the moment?

 Same response as above.

What kind of fashion advice would you give us?

Enjoy yourself. Sit quietly and discover what you like, what intrigues and sparks you. Learn ways to let go of what everyone else is doing or buying to determine if you really want to wear that style. If not, explore the fashion, patterns, and textiles of different eras. Mix and match unusual colors and styles until you find outfits that make you smile, make you stand up tall, and be proud of and enjoy yourself!

Who is your style icon and why?

I love Lady Gaga. She is one of the most expressive, versatile, and aware human beings on the planet. She understands wild fashion, influencing for good and caring. To see someone in the public eye who is sexy and bold and kind and respectful is mind-blowing wonderful!!!

Is there something else you would like to share with us?

It’s important to me that women, in particular, learn to enjoy themselves. To let in goodness and happiness and joy. To allow that to wash over the insecurities and hurt and to allow their most beautiful, natural, easygoing selves to emerge. To become aligned and embodying that both internally in how they feel and externally in their ease with their bodies and fashion.

Spinning on a wheel, that's something you don't see every day anymore. You really should take a look at her website, because she has some great festival outfits.

Hope you like my blog .....Until next time.....Have a nice day

How to spoil yourself with a special cup of Tea - Tea Flower from Flora Tea

Hi There..... Do you need your coffee in the morning or would you rather sip a cup of tea? One more question. Have you ever heard of a tea flower?

If no, you haven't read my previous post about Flora Tea. Maybe it's not the worst idea to read this one first? https://seadbeady.blogspot.com/2020/11/how-to-pamper-yourself-with-exceptional.html

I would go for a cup of tea anytime. I never drink coffee because I just don't like the taste of it. Here is another question for you. Did you know January is Hot Tea Month? 😊

I just don't get that. To me, every month is tea month. 😕

My morning routine starts with having breakfast. Then it's time to hit the bathroom (don't take this literally. I am not aggressive), but before I do, I turn on my tea machine for a nice cup of fruit tea. Then a little later in the day, I prepare myself a cup of green tea with half a teaspoon of honey and 2 large squeezes of my lemon concentrate bottle. 😋

I know, I know, real lemons are so much better, but the concentrate is so convenient. No hassle with squeezing or slicing lemons. I found this great quote from Marcus Sakey, "I like really sharp flavors, and I like contrasts. Something sweet and sour at the same time is a big win.". 😀

What I don't get either is the result from the quiz I took which I found here - https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/hot-tea-month/ The result said I would be a black tea lover and nothing is further from the truth. I hardly ever drink it and when I do it has to be in and out. Hey you, with your twisted mind, this has nothing to do with happy endings. 😂

If you leave the satchel in too long, the tea turns bitter, and I really hate that. I am not a fan of anything bitter, as a matter of fact. When I was a kid, my family always grinned when they saw my cup of tea because it more resembled a cup of pee. Pee, Tea, almost sounds the same. Who can tell the difference, right? 😄

I don't recall drinking any green tea in my childhood days except in the Chinese restaurant. I can still see the sweet little lady from our favorite Chinese restaurant in my mind, even though it has been a long time ago. Her sweet smile is etched on my mind. She even taught us the fun English slogan, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice cream.". Haha, yes, I was young, so easily impressed. 😉

The taste of the tea flavors I received from Flora Tea this time also impressed me. They left the choice over to me. My first preference was Lily Fairy because it's the star of their tea flower collection. It was awarded 3 stars at the Great Taste Awards. I can't help being curious by nature. Blame my dad and mum, they made me. You weren't expecting me to blame myself; I hope. 😳

The key ingredients from this tea are green tea, Jasmin, and Lily. As I opened the package, I already picked up a glorious scent, which only got better as the flower developed. 😋

It's also an impressive tea flower to watch unfold, and boy did it taste good, like an angel crying on your tongue. It lingered on my pallet for quite a long time. Such a delicate, soft, but still very pronounced flavor. Definitely my favorite by far. 😍

My second choice was Oriental Beauty, which was also awarded at the Great Taste Awards, but then again all their tea flowers are. I made a small video of this one so you can enjoy the process with me. I created a new YouTube channel, especially to show you. 😃

You can follow me if you like, who knows what I will publish next. Even I don't know. 😁

But you might be curious about what the key ingredients of this tea are. They are Green tea, Calendula, and Jasmine.

I wasn't as wild about this tea as the Lily Fairy, because for me it was a bit weird, almost as if it had a hint of sweetness to it. This was easily solved though by adding some lemon juice to it. For all I know, you may adore this tea just because of its sweetness.

My dad taught me that "de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum est." or otherwise said, "there is no disputing about tastes and colors." he only taught me 3 Latin phrases, but I love to use this one. It shows that I am not brainless or that I am a showoff or maybe both. 😲

Flora Tea also let me choose 2 flavors of their pyramids tea-bags. Even though I am not that much a fan, I wanted to give their mint tea a try. Nope, I am not crazy, ok maybe just a little, but my hubby drinks mint tea all the time so I hoped we could enjoy this one together. 😯

There was such a wonderful scent when I opened the package that made me even more curious about the tasting. Regretfully for him, the mint wasn't strong enough but strange enough I loved it just because of that. As I just told you, I am not the biggest fan of mint tea, but this was such a delicate flavor. Weird, right? 😏

Did you know peppermint tea can soothe the stomach or strengthen digestion? It also has a soothing effect and helps against headaches, skin irritation, worries, and menstrual pains. Peppermint relaxes the muscles in the intestines. Enough good reasons to give this tea a try. 😊

The last one I chose was the Japanese Sencha tea.

The first time I left the tea to infuse just a bit too long, which made it just a tiny bit bitter. As they say, a donkey never hits the same stone twice, so my second cup of tea was just perfect.  😄

Did you know that Sencha is a Japanese green tea? The tea leaf is not rolled but crushed and steamed. The word "sencha" means "great tea".

Just remember this, if you need a moment of rest in the day, some time to relax, a moment to unwind. Get yourself a wonderful tea flower from https://www.flora-tea.nl/, and enjoy the wondrous spectacle of the emerging flower in your glass of tea. Within minutes, you have a beautiful flower in your glass. 😎

The people from Flora Tea were so nice to include a special offer for you. With the code SEADBEADY, you pay no shipping costs if you place an order before February 28.

Hope you like my blog.....Until next time.....Have a nice day

Where to find sustainable fashion face masks? A Different Ball Game - Upcycled plastic reusable face masks

Hi There..... Do you like to stand out or would you rather blend in? What if I could tell you more about fashion face masks? Perhaps you are interested in reusable face masks?

The first is a straightforward question for me. I’d rather stand out than blend in with the crowd. What better way to do so than having a reusable face mask to match almost any outfit you have. What would you think if I said that I know of a fashion face mask made of upcycled plastic? 😉

Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? You know there was a time there was almost no plastic used in packaging. When I was young, things like milk, lemonade, or water were all sold in glass bottles. I even remember there being a milk deliverer that would drop off those bottles at your home. 😃

Haha, I know, I am no spring chicken. Still, it’s fun to reminiscence on those kinds of things. So much has changed in 50 years’ time. Some things for better, like technology. Other things not so great, like the wrinkles on my face. 😖

My parents were already busy with taking care of nature, though. I remember they taught me it was a bad thing to drop paper wraps from candy. They would say if nobody cared, the streets would be full of waste.

I feel more and more people stopped caring about our lovely mother earth and there is a lot of trash everywhere. It’s quite a different ball game now. 😒

That's what today's blog post is all about. The company A Different Ball Game makes the most colorful masks from upcycled plastic. They sent me these lovely reusable face masks, in exchange for my honest opinion. 😊

First, let me tell you what their website says about these masks. They are Re-useable Face Masks, made from Upcycled Plastic.

They save up to 36% Co2, 39% Energy, and 34% Water. That’s on everything they make from Upcycled Plastic. The company works hand in glove with Upcycled Marine plastic and Landfill plastic.

These fashion face masks can be custom made to suit your design/business. They are of a 100% Post-consumer Recycled Polyester, containing Upcycled Marine Plastic.

How can anyone be against upcycling plastic? I wonder if they can upcycle old ladies like me too. 😏

You may wonder how this process works.

Clean-up programs working with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE clean all waste from the ocean including; PET, PP, PA, metal, rubber, glass and other materials.

SEAQUAL INITIATIVE estimates that for every kilo of SEAQUAL® YARN, between 600 grams and 1 kilo of marine litter gets cleaned from our ocean.

It then gets turned into flakes, then pellets and sent to the factory in Spain. The pellets get bound into yarn, then made into clothing.

Did you know that plastic stays in our oceans for centuries? The production of plastics is growing exponentially. This year another 400 million tons of virgin plastic will be produced. Only 9% of all plastics ever produced have been upcycled.

Marine debris is harming over 800 species. 40% of marine mammals and 44% of seabird species are affected by marine debris ingestion. Marine pollution also causes biodiversity loss and hampers ecosystem functions and services.

Different Ball Game works together with the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE waste management and recycling industries to transform marine litter into Upcycled Marine Plastic so that leading brands and manufacturers can create inspiring sustainable products.

I just love that these masks are in such vibrant colors. Even though I have a lot of outfits in darker colors, I also have a lot of pretty colored T-shirts and blouses in my wardrobe.

All masks have adjustable ribbons on the sides to make them fit your face perfectly. Nothing worse than a sagging mask. 😳

They all have a small metal nose bridge to prevent the mask from moving around on your face. This also prevents hot air from escaping around your nose, which is a significant factor in uncomfortable glasses fog. Plus, it’s better for physical activity like biking or running. 😀

What more could a woman want. 😍

Hope you like my blog.....Until next time.....Have a nice day
