Hi There..... Do you have a sock drawer filled with plain cotton socks, or are you the type of person who rather has fun socks?
I have both in my drawer. We can all use some more fun in our lives besides war, disease, and violence, don’t you agree? So let’s start with cleaning out some of those worn-out plain socks and replacing them with fun socks. I wish everything could be so simple. 😊
Oh yes, I can be serious if I want to be, but it’s a good thing that it doesn’t happen too often. I have always been around people with a sense of humor and witty sarcasm, so you can’t expect me to be serious too often. 😏
Some people don’t get it, though, and that’s where it gets awkward. If you make a remark thinking it’s funny and they look angry at you. There is always the question, did they interpret my joke as a horrible offense? 😦
When I was 21, something like that happened to me on a sailing course in the South of France. The instructor was giving us the names of all the triangular sails on the sailboat. To understand my joke, I will have to give you the Dutch words for them. 😄
The front sail is called ‘voorlijk’ in Dutch. The backside is the ‘achterlijk’, and the bottom is ‘onderlijk’. If you know that ‘voor’ is front, ‘achter’ is back, ‘onder’ is under, and ‘lijk’ is a dead body, you can literally translate this as a dead body on the front, back, and under the boat. 😁
Can you see the humor in it? So I made a what I thought witty remark that it was quite a horrible place, but he didn’t get it. 😬
Everybody laughed except the sailing instructor. Perhaps I could have added 'with all those dead bodies on the boat'. Not sure if you get my drift because I am struggling to keep my head above the water. 😏😀

My opinion on the Lollipop Gift Box
What I like most about these fun socks is that you can't feel the seam. If there is something I can't stand, it's having to turn my socks inside out and position them a certain way because the seam touches my toes. I know, it's a trait of a highly sensitive person. Just like I cut out almost all labels of my clothes because they seem to scratch all the time. 😵
There was a slight problem, though, when HemdVoorHem contacted me to ask if I was interested in reviewing a pair of these fun socks. I was a little lost because I couldn't decide which one to pick. 😄
They were all equally fun, so I let them choose for me. Don't you just love surprises? I also just love this cute box with sustainable cotton socks. I am definitely going to be wearing them a lot. 😍

In my package, they also sent me a new treat to try. Sorry to say, this was not for me. At least that's what my husband thought. 😄
Ever since my Gastric Bypass, there are a lot of things I don't eat anymore, like candy bars, for instance. Before I knew it, the Knoppers coconut bar disappeared into his stomach. Safe to say he liked it. 😂
