Interview with Fashion Stylist Tyler Minor

Hi There..... Would you mind if I would share another fashion stylist interview? Perhaps you would rather have a fashion designer interview?

No matter what you choose, the outcome is the same because my star for today is both a fashion designer and fashion stylist. 😁

Before I forget, I admit I was guilty of slacking off this weekend, because we went on a brief holiday. I apologize, and it won't happen again. 😜

If you are waiting for new reviews, there is no need to worry, because they are on their way. At the moment I have a pair of socks from HemdVoorHem that I just received, and am testing some hair products from Noughty Haircare Benelux. 😊

Ah yes, and I also have a Beauty Gift Guide coming up soon. Normally I would have shared this at the end of last month, but I didn't get enough responses, so if you still want to be in this next gift guide, leave a comment underneath 'contact me' on the right side of my blog post. 😉

If you are wondering what the cost is for a mention in my gift guide, there is none. Ah yes, I am crazy as Hell, but no need to worry, being crazy doesn't hurt a bit. Anyway, if it wasn't for crazy people, the world would be a bore. 😂

Let's get back to more exciting matters, like my new interview with Tyler Minor, who is the 33-year-old fashion stylist, fashion designer, co-owner of American Paint Hat, and owner of Tyler Minor Studios. 😍

What kind of work do you do, or what are you studying to be?

I’m a fashion stylist and clothing designer.

What made you decide to become a Fashion Stylist?

Since I was a child, I have always been in love with fashion. After design school, I Immediately jumped into styling. For several years, I assisted and started going out and getting clients on my own. Soon I was working for big companies like Amazon, Zappos, Food Network, and then eventually started getting my celebrity clientele.

Is fashion important to you? Why?

Fashion is important to me because it helps tell a story and helps people discover their own identities.
It can be a powerful thing and change lives.

What are your successes and how did you achieve them?

I’m proud of all of my achievements and consider my whole body of work a success. I’ve achieved things I dreamed of achieving as a child. You only achieve these things through hard work and determination.

Is the name of the Brand important to you when you buy clothing?

Brand recognition can be important on a red carpet, but it’s unnecessary.
It helps new celebrities get recognized more through social media and with the press. Though some clients can’t afford expensive designers. So, at the end of the day, it’s most important to make sure your client looks and feels their best.

Describe your personal style of clothing?

My personal style changes daily. Sometimes I go for a clean-cut business professional look and on other days I’m wearing a vintage band tee and ripped jeans.
Overall, my personal style really just reflects on how I feel that day or
what the day has in store for me.

How did you find your personal style? Do you have a signature look?

We find personal style through experimenting with fashion.

What are in your eyes the best trends at the moment?

To be honest, I don’t follow trends. I’m more about what looks good on you.

What kind of fashion advice would you give us?

Be yourself, wear what makes you feel good. Go against the grain, and wear everything with confidence.

Who is your style icon and why?

I rarely pick favorites, but a few people who have influenced my work have been: Heatherette, Tom Ford, Olivier Rousteing, and 90s pop stars.

Is there something else you would like to share with us?

Chase your dreams, create your own trends, and work as hard as you
can.

You should also look at American Paint. It houses an unforgettable experience where you design your own hat from start to finish. Sounds pretty cool to me. 😎
