My chronic illness and Last Reviews for the JouwBox edition 10

Hi There..... Would you like to learn more about my chronic illness and the new gift box I received?

Did you know that every September is Happy Cat Month?  😍

I am a huge cat lover..... They are so darn cuddly and cute..... It’s actually very hard for me, I cannot keep one at the moment..... Well, it’s a long story actually..... We moved 4 years ago to an apartment due to my chronic illness..... My cartilage is of very poor quality
.. As a result, it is breaking down bit by bit all over my body 😟

Momentarily, I already have a hip and knee prosthesis on my right side
.. But my left knee is giving me more and more problems every day now too
.. Wish I could say that this was my only problem
.. The disks in my back spine are slowly degenerating too
.. And those of my neck were more than happy to join in on the fun 😜

Ooh no, I still haven’t finished
.. My shoulders are becoming more blocked and more painful
.. Probably a result of walking on crutches a lot in the last few years
.. And then there are my wrists and thumbs pains
.. Mostly because of some abnormal bone depositions
.. I have those in different places all over my body
.. I suppose they also wanted to join in on the fun 😜

Can you imagine that some people envy me
.. Just because I am not working anymore đŸ˜Č

What they don’t see is how many painkillers I have to take in daily

 They get me through an average day
.. But there are limits to what my body can do
.. And if I cross those limits, I will have to pay for it
.. The result is that I have to cope with 2 or 3 days of severe pain
.. Sometimes I even can’t straighten my back anymore
.. And then I haven’t told you about my muscles yet
.. They are fed-up with it and overreact
.. Resulting in blockages 😱

You may call me crazy, but I really don’t get what they are jealous of đŸ˜”

The first one still on my list is the Mudmasky Leave-me-on Autumn mask..... What does their website say about this mask..... It's a gel-based and oil-free ultra calming formula..... It rebalances and rehydrates your skin after a hot summer.....The mask reduces sunspots to a minimum after using daily after 2 till 3 weeks..... Without the use of popular bleaching chemicals like hydroquinone..... Fragrance-free


Sounds pretty cool..... Don't you agree 😉

As the name already suggests you can just put it on and leave it..... Still, I really have to read it twice to believe..... As the French say 'Simple come Bonjour' (translated as simple as saying hello)..... No hassle with rinsing it off afterward..... As I was rubbing it in it became rather sticky for a few seconds but that feeling disappeared..... And now my skin is almost as soft as a baby skin..... Did you know that your skin loses a lot of moisture in the summertime..... Especially in a hot summer like we had this year..... It may seem pretty expensive but you don't need much..... So the tube will last for a long time.....To me, this mask is the perfect solution..... As Maira Kalman said 'I truly believe there's always a solution to every problem 😎

The last product to review is the Okinawa minerals from the Health Factory..... What does their website say about these minerals..... They are the basic minerals from nature..... These minerals consist of calcium and magnesium as in the natural ratio of our body of 2 to 1..... They are unique in the sense that they contain 76 essential and ionic minerals and trace elements..... But I can understand why they want to give this much information..... Especially given the fact that most people don't realize that they might be lacking these minerals..... I can't say for sure that I do or don't need them..... I would dare to think not because I have been taking supplements twice a day since my Gastric Bypass..... But I did try them out in a glass of water one day and in a glass of fruit juice the other day..... Here is a picture from my water experiment 😋


Almost looked a bit like milk..... Weirdly it hardly has any taste..... I only tasted the graininess from the substance..... Solving it in fruit juice worked better for me..... It solves well and the fruit juice didn't taste any different as far as I could tell..... I am not that much of a fan of Yoghurt but I am thinking that could work even better.....  😍

Hi There..... Do you like gift boxes? Are you looking for some handy gifts for travelers? 

Here in Belgium, the 1st of September is always the first school day..... So did you go on vacation..... Did you have a good time..... I am actually glad the vacation is over..... That's when the fun starts for us..... We are free to go whenever we want.... Our kids have left home a few years ago..... So we always wait till others get back to work..... The products I am reviewing today could be handy gifts for travelers..... It's always good to share tips on some handy products for Travelers..... Right..... But my tip could also be great for people who only travel once a year..... Maybe you should just read on to understand where I am going to 😉

The first one today is the Shampoo bar & conditioner with Jasmin and Propolis from Bee Honest Cosmetics..... Let's have a look at what their website says about this Shampoo bar..... It is in the form of a bar of soap and is especially for your hair..... It works the same as a liquid shampoo..... It ensures that your hair becomes clean and gets volume and shine without drying out your hair..... It is very economical in use..... 1 bar corresponds to 3 bottles of shampoo..... Beside nectar and pollen..... Bees collect resin from all kinds of trees and plant buds..... They add various enzymes from their salivary glands to this, resulting in propolis..... Bees use propolis to strengthen their beehives and protect their colonies against viruses, bacteria, and fungi..... .. Straightforward to use, and my hair felt nice and soft afterward
.. If you ask me, it does not compare to using separate shampoo and conditioner
.. I think this could be the perfect product to take with you on your holiday
.. It is handy to pack and for those of you who like to fly
.. It is not liquid and thus won’t pose any problems at airport security
.. Unless they think you stashed some drugs inside your soap bar 😂

My second pick for today is the African Black Soap from Natural Heroes
.. Let’s have a look at what their website says about this piece of soap

No, of course, I didn’t
.. But I tried the soap and instantly fell in love with the scent
.. It reminded me of the one we used when I was a child
.. Don’t ask me its name because that I can’t recall
.. So I cleaned my face with it as the site suggests you should
.. I honestly don’t like to wash my face with soap because it makes my skin feel all dry
.. But if you want to be a reviewer, you just have to try things out
.. That is if you want to be an excellent reviewer
.. And as you can see I survived
.. My skin felt slightly dry but not as bad as I dreaded
.. I can even say that it hasn’t felt this soft for a long time
.. And who doesn’t want a more tight skin
.. I know I do for sure 😋

You may have guessed..... I’m not..... I am much more into Blogging..... Informing you on what I hope you find appealing 😀

Oh Yes..... I am still going on and on about this 'JouwBox' (gift box) I received recently..... There were so many great natural products in it..... I just can't help it..... But there still are a few more things I want to brag about..... I know bragging is not that nice, but I already told you..... It's my mom and dad's fault 😁

Ok, let's get serious..... Today I wanted to tell you some more about the Natural white toothpaste from Oolaboo..... What does their website say about this Toothpaste..... It is enriched with lime flavor..... It's a 100% vegan product..... It is gluten-free and developed for effective cleaning of teeth and gums..... They do not use harmful ingredients such as SLS and Fluoride..... As an alternative to fluoride, they use Hydroxyapatite which is a constituent of tooth enamel and bone..... This provides a clearer, stronger, and smoother tooth surface..... Organic coconut oil acts as a natural cleaner and whitens teeth..... And it is also safe for the little ones

I agree that it's a great thing that there are no harmful ingredients in this toothpaste..... But I really couldn't get that lime taste out of it I was actually hoping for..... I tried it for a week but am not a fan of the taste..... Sorry to say so..... It was neither bad nor good..... On the other hand; it made my teeth feel smooth, and that's pretty important to me too..... And no problems with my gums either, so that's another plus for them 😍

My second pick out of the box for today is the Vegetal Oil Emulsion from Piroche cosmetics..... What does their website say about this product..... It's a silky emulsion made from plant oils such as grapeseed oil..... It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids with a light, moisturizing texture that leaves the skin velvety and silky..... It helps maintain the skin's elasticity..... Nourishes and protects the skin..... You can use the emulsion as cleansing milk and as a body lotion..... It lends itself well as a massage product..... It can also be used as a base to add essential oils..... it is ideal for skin with eczema or parched flaky skin..... It can also be used for children or babies with eczema or dry skin.


Did you know that Archeological evidence of massage has been found in many ancient civilizations.....Ah..... Who doesn't long for a long relaxing massage..... No..... You won't get it from me..... Sorry 😁

On the other hand..... I am gonna tell you what it feels like after you had a massage with this emulsion..... Your skin really feels soft and fresh afterward..... I really have dry and flaky skin on the lower part of my legs and now they feel nice and smooth..... And my skin did not feel greasy at all afterward either..... So I am really pleased with this one 😍

Tips on where to find great Biological Hot Drinks - JouwBox (Gift Box) edition 10

Hi There..... Have you been looking for a gift box full of natural products? Are you having a heatwave like we did last week? 

Or maybe just like here in Belgium, the weather has turned completely, and it is raining and even storming..... I suppose there is nothing better than a hot drink to warm you up again..... Maybe some tea or some hot cocoa perhaps 😍

It has been quite a while since I last had hot cocoa..... Why..... Because of my Gastric Bypass..... The last time I drank one I got dumping afterward..... Ah, You don't know what dumping is of course..... It happens when foods (especially sugars) move too quickly from the stomach to the first part of the small intestine..... That results in heavy cramps, feeling unwell, heavy sweating, feeling dizzy, and sometimes even vomiting..... Do you get my drift 😏

I can tell you there is nothing fun about dumping..... I really want to avoid having those..... So I was actually pretty happy that I received this Biological cacao powder from Mattison Healthstyle in my 'JouwBox' (gift box)..... So what does their website say about this cocoa powder..... You can use it to make hot cocoa or ad it to something you are baking or maybe to a smoothie..... It is Biological and it contains no added sugar or sweeteners and is rich in Magnesium..... It's a Vegan product and also free of Allergens  

Ah, now you are probably wondering..... Does it still taste good 😀

So I took some milk and added a bit of the powder and stirred it well..... Then I heated it in the microwave for a minute..... Depending on how cold your milk is of course..... I did seem to see some lumps when I took it out but they vanished after stirring again..... When I tasted it there seemed to be something missing..... So I added a small amount of honey to it..... And yes for sure it tasted great..... And no dumping afterward..... Oof what a relief..... And I am pretty sure it will work perfectly in baking processes too..... Especially for people that have to cut back on sugar 😋

Did you know that cocoa is also a powerful antioxidant..... They protect our bodies against free radicals..... Which is good for your health..... And did you also know that it makes you feel more positive and helps people get through stressful periods..... Don't feel bad that you didn't know..... Just grab a cup of cocoa 😁

But maybe you are more of a tea drinker..... Ok, no problem..... I have something for you too..... In my 'JouwBox' there was a packet of Biological Green tea with Ginger too..... I discovered green tea a few years ago and am a real fan of most flavors 😄 


So what does their website say about this tea..... It's a warming green tea with spicy ginger..... The tea comes from YĂȘn BĂĄi, Vietnam and Sekem, Egypt..... Bring water to a boil and let it cool down to 80 ° C ..... Pour into your mug and put the teabag in it and let it rest for about 3 to 5 minutes..... Ingredients: green tea, ginger, lemongrass, licorice root, and lime

Ok let's give it a try..... See how it tastes 😋 

I actually cheated a bit because I have no thermometer to measure up to 80 degrees..... I have a tea machine that has the perfect temperature for the perfect cup of tea..... I would be lying if I would say I got it right from the first time..... Leaving it rest for 5 minutes makes the tea too bitter for me but with 3 minutes it was just perfect..... And what makes it even better is a dash of lemon..... The only thing that's a hassle to me is to get the temperature right..... Otherwise, perfect for me..... The ginger taste is not too sharp and it gives me a warm glow afterward 😈

Oh yes..... Did you know that ginger has been used since ancient times to treat colds, fevers, and even digestive problems..... Haven't tried that out yet but it does make me feel all warm inside 😍

Sounds pretty good to me..... As long as the scents are real and not made up 😁

Well, I am gonna tell you right away..... They are not made up at all..... I always dive in nose first..... And this deo really smells very fresh..... I was worried that the roller might be sticky..... But was glad that it wasn't..... And yes..... I did sniff my armpits a couple of times to see if they kept fresh..... No, I am not posting a picture of my armpits..... You will just have to take my word for it that this deodorant does what it is supposed to do 😂

The second one today is about the..... Wait for it..... The hand cream with Shea Butter from Seacret..... What does their website say about this hand cream..... It is a good fit for all skin types..... It's a rich, moisturizing cream that softens the hands with a replenishing complex of vitamins, natural oils, and plant butters that deliver a long-lasting moisture boost and enhances the look of healthy skin..... Benefits are..... 1. It helps repair dry, damaged skin..... 2. It gets absorbed easily..... 3. It gives hands the long-lasting protection they need.



I would be thrilled with those kinds of traits too..... Especially in these times of Corona where you have to wash your hands more frequently 😊

Not sure if the skin on my hands differs from everyone else's..... But it works for my skin for sure..... I really felt like my hands needed some cream lately..... I added a new bedtime routine and now I always apply some hand cream before I go to bed, that way my hands are nice and soft the next morning..... The only thing I am not crazy about was the smell..... But it doesn't bother me that much because it was not quite that pronounced..... So, all in all, I am still very happy with it..... All's well that ends well..... Right 😄

7 Great Marketing Tools to Promote your Blog - Blogging Tips

Hi There..... Are you a blogger? Could you do with some blogging tips on where to find great marketing tools?


Ah..... Great to meet you..... Have you been blogging for long?

I have been at it now for 3 years and I have learned so much..... And I thought why not share some of my knowledge to make it easier for you..... Deep down I really have a good heart you know..... And that is not deep down under the ground 😋

But maybe like me in the beginning you are struggling to get your blog read..... I still am working on improving every day, so I thought why not share some blogging tips on how to find a few marketing tools? 😎

 Some people think..... Yes, I got the answer..... I will just start blogging and people will read my blog just like that..... Noooo..... You wish..... You have to work hard to get your blog out there 😃

So if that's what you were hoping..... You had better quit right now..... But if you are willing to work for it..... Here are the blogging tips I would like to share with you. 😊

1. Number 1 to start with is maybe getting email followers. 

Make sure that your blog page has the option for people to join your email list. There are a lot of programs too to help you with that..... Like for instance Mailchimp..... You can find a lot more of these tools just by typing in..... Email Marketing Tools for Bloggers 

2. Number 2 is making use of platforms.

Like for instance https://www.bloglovin.com/ ..... Another one is https://medium.com/.... And there are probably a lot more of those out there where you can share your blog..... You can promote some of them or all of them..... Like I do at the bottom of each blog post..... They will get you extra followers and this way potential readers..... Not every follower is Perse a reader too.

3. Number 3 is making use of your Social Media like Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook..... 

Those are the most popular ones but there are a lot more of them. Make sure that once you publish a blog post you always share it at least once..... But you don't have to restrain yourself..... You can do more if you like..... I, for instance, promote 3 or more blog posts on Twitter daily.

4. Number 4 on my list is Facebook groups.

There are a lot of groups where you can promote your blog without having to do anything in return like https://www.facebook.com/groups/137850849757848/ ..... Try searching on Facebook starting with Blogger and choose the option groups to get all kinds of groups..... All you have to do now is join.

5. Number 5 for me is Tailwindapp 

(if you use this link we will both get a free $15 Tailwind credit when you upgrade to Plus) ..... And I especially love the tribes..... If you use the free option you can join up to 5 tribes and you get 30 submissions every month..... Haven't you always wanted to be in a tribe..... Well, this is your chance..... You can share your blog with the tribes but you will have to pin others in return.

6. Number 6 is important too..... Sharing on Pinterest group boards. 

I started one of my own some time ago https://nl.pinterest.com/seadbeady/bloggers-sharing-blogposts/ ..... You are free to join it if you like..... At the moment there are almost 200 people pinning to the board and there are new ones asking to join every week.

7. Number 7 is something that I heard from others but I actually haven't done myself.

Guest blogging..... It is best to find blogs in the same niche as yours..... Ask them to make a Guest blog..... Or you could try to find someone to exchange posts..... You make a post for them and they make one for you..... Don't forget to link to your own blog of course.

We are in the middle of one..... There is a code red announced up until Monday..... That means that everybody has to take it easy and drink a lot..... No not beer..... Water of course 😂

They say that here temperatures will be above 30 degrees up until Wednesday..... They can rise up to 37 even..... Way too hot for me..... I love soup but I don't want to be in it 😋

Did you know that the longest heatwave dates from 1947 and took 19 days..... Noooo..... I am not that old and wasn't there..... But I do very much remember 2018..... we had 2 heatwaves back then..... I am a fan of summer though..... And I very much love being on a terras sipping a cool drink in the sun 😀

But that's exactly what I wanted to talk to you about today..... The sun or more specific Sun Catchers..... Wikipedia says that it is believed that those suncatchers were first made by the Southwestern Native-Americans..... You could compare them to wind-chimes but instead of catching the wind suncatchers are designed to catch the sunlight 😎

I think they are so very cool and that's why I thought..... Let's go and find a few on Etsy to share them with you 😄
